1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Everycom TouYinger L9W Ultra Mini Projector. This portable Android smart beamer is designed to deliver a high-quality viewing experience with its Full HD 1080P resolution, 1000 ANSI lumens brightness, and smart features like auto focus and keystone correction. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your projector to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

3. Product Overview

3.1 Physical Dimensions and Weight

The L9W Ultra is designed to be compact and portable:

3.2 Interfaces and Controls

The projector features a variety of ports for connectivity and a remote control for easy operation:

  • DC-IN: Power input port.
  • HD (HDMI): High-Definition Multimedia Interface for connecting external video sources.
  • Earphone: 3.5mm audio output jack for headphones or external speakers.
  • USB: USB port for connecting storage devices (U Disk, Hard Disk) or other peripherals.

A remote controller is included for convenient navigation and control of the projector's functions.

4. Setup

4.1 Placement

Choose a suitable location for your projector. The L9W Ultra can project images from 40 to 200 inches, with an optimal projection distance between 1 to 4 meters. For smaller spaces, it can cast a 45-inch image from just one meter away.

Ensure the projector is placed on a stable, flat surface or mounted using the 6mm bracket/hanger hole on the bottom.

4.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the provided power cord to the DC-IN port on the projector.
  2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard AC power outlet.
  3. Press the power button on the projector or remote control to turn it on.

4.3 Initial Setup (Focus and Keystone)

The L9W Ultra features automatic focus and keystone correction for a quick and clear setup:

  • Auto Focus: The projector will automatically adjust the image clarity.
  • Auto Keystone Correction: The projector will automatically correct the image distortion (trapezoid effect) to ensure a rectangular picture. This includes Auto Vertical Keystone and 4-Point Keystone correction for fine-tuning.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Android 11.0 OS

The projector runs on Android 11.0, providing a smart TV-like experience. You can access various applications directly from the projector's interface, including YouTube, Netflix, and an App Store to download more.

5.2 Wi-Fi 6 Screen Mirroring

Wirelessly mirror content from your iOS or Android devices to the projector using Wi-Fi 6. This allows for seamless sharing of photos, videos, and presentations.

5.3 Picture Mode Adjustment

Customize your viewing experience with various picture modes:

5.4 Zoom Function

Adjust the size of the projected image without moving the projector using the digital zoom function. This is useful for fitting the image perfectly onto your screen or wall.

5.5 Audio

The projector includes a built-in speaker with Official Dolby Audio Support for an immersive sound experience. You can also connect external audio devices via the 3.5mm earphone jack or Bluetooth-compatible connectivity.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Lens: Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Gently wipe the lens to remove dust or smudges. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Exterior: Wipe the projector's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water and then wipe dry.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation openings are clear of dust and obstructions to prevent overheating.

7.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the projector in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the foam protective cover to shield it from dust and physical damage.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1 No Power

  • Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the projector and a working power outlet.
  • Check if the power outlet is functional by plugging in another device.

8.2 No Image / Blurry Image

  • Verify that the projector is powered on and the lens cap (if any) is removed.
  • Allow the auto-focus function to complete. If still blurry, try manually adjusting focus if an option is available in settings.
  • Check the input source. Ensure the correct HDMI or other input is selected if an external device is connected.
  • Ensure the projection surface is flat and clean.

8.3 No Sound

  • Check the volume settings on both the projector and the connected source device.
  • Ensure no headphones are plugged into the earphone jack if you intend to use the built-in speaker.
  • If using external speakers, ensure they are properly connected and powered on.

8.4 Wi-Fi/Screen Mirroring Issues

  • Ensure both the projector and your device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Check your Wi-Fi signal strength.
  • Restart both the projector and your mirroring device.

9. User Tips

  • For the best viewing experience, use the projector in a dimly lit or dark room.
  • Experiment with different picture modes (Standard, Vivid, Cinema, Realistic, Custom) to find the one that best suits your content and environment.
  • Utilize the 4-Point Keystone correction for precise image alignment, especially when projecting at an angle.
  • Keep the projector's ventilation clear to maintain optimal performance and extend lamp life.
  • Take advantage of the Android OS to download streaming apps directly to the projector, reducing the need for external devices.
