4. Setup
4.1 Initial Connection
- Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off.
- Connect the red test clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
- Connect the black test clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
- The KW341 tester will power on automatically as it draws power directly from the battery under test. No external power source is required.
Important: The device features built-in reverse polarity protection. Incorrect connections will prevent operation, safeguarding both the battery and the tester.
4.2 Language Settings
To change the language:
- From the main menu, navigate to 'Setup'.
- Select 'Language'.
- Choose your desired language from the available options (e.g., English, German, French, Spanish, etc.).

5. Operating Instructions
Navigate through the menus using the directional arrows and confirm selections with the 'OK' button. Use 'ESC' to go back.
5.1 Battery Test
This test evaluates the overall health of your battery.
- From the main menu, select 'Battery Test'.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to select the vehicle type (Motorcycle, Car, Truck), battery location (In-Vehicle/Out-of-Vehicle), battery type (e.g., Regular Flooded, AGM), and battery standard (e.g., CCA, JIS, EN).
- Enter the battery's rated CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) or other standard value as prompted.
- The tester will display the test result, including State of Health (SOH), State of Charge (SOC), Voltage (V), and Resistance (R).
- Press 'OK' again to generate a QR code. Scan this QR code with your smartphone to retrieve a detailed test report.

5.2 Cranking Test
This test assesses the vehicle's starting system performance.
- From the main menu, select 'Cranking Test'.
- The tester will prompt you to start the engine.
- Start the engine and allow the test to complete.
- The device will display the cranking test result, including time, maximum voltage, and minimum voltage during cranking. It will also indicate if cranking is normal or low based on predefined voltage thresholds (e.g., for 12V systems, voltage > 7.5V is normal; for 24V systems, voltage > 15V is normal).

5.3 Charging Test
This test evaluates the vehicle's charging system (alternator, rectifier, etc.).
- From the main menu, select 'Charging Test'.
- Start the engine and let it idle.
- Increase the engine RPM to approximately 2000-3000 RPM for a few seconds, then return to idle.
- The tester will display the charging test result, including loaded voltage, unloaded voltage, and ripple voltage. It will indicate if charging is normal.

5.4 Waveform Analysis
To view the real-time voltage waveform:
- From the main menu, select 'Waveform'.
- The device will display a graph of the voltage over time, allowing for visual analysis of voltage stability and potential issues.

5.5 Data Printing
The KW341 supports printing of test data. To do this, you will need to connect the device to a computer via the provided USB cable and use the KONNWEI software (available for download from the official KONNWEI website) to retrieve and print the stored test reports.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the KW341 in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The operating and storage temperature range is -20°C to 70°C.
- Cable Care: Inspect the test clamps and cables regularly for any signs of damage. Replace if necessary.

7. Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on: Ensure the test clamps are correctly connected to the battery terminals (red to positive, black to negative). The battery must have sufficient charge to power the device.
- Inaccurate readings: Ensure the battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion. Verify that the correct battery type and standard (e.g., CCA) are selected in the device settings.
- Error messages: Refer to the on-screen error message for specific guidance. If an error persists, disconnect and reconnect the device.
- Cannot print data: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the KW341 and the computer. Verify that the KONNWEI printing software is installed and running correctly on your PC.

8. User Tips
- For the most accurate results, ensure the battery is fully charged before performing a battery test.
- When performing the Cranking Test, ensure the engine starts successfully to get a complete reading of the starting system's performance.
