6. Setup

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all components from the carry case. Inspect the welder and accessories for any signs of damage.
  2. Connect Ground Clamp: Attach the ground clamp securely to the workpiece. Ensure good electrical contact for stable welding.
  3. Insert Welding Rod:
    • Press the Electrode Collet Button.
    • Insert a compatible welding rod (1/16" - 1/8") into the Electrode Collet.
    • Release the button to secure the rod.

  4. Power Connection: Connect the welder to a suitable 220V power outlet. If your region uses a different plug type, ensure you use an appropriate and safe adapter.
  5. Wear PPE: Put on your auto-darkening welding goggles and other protective gear before proceeding.

7. Operation

  1. Power On: Flip the Power Switch to the ON position. The LED Digital Display will illuminate.
  2. Adjust Welding Current: Use the controls near the LED Digital Display to adjust the welding current (amperage) between 20-140A. The intelligent parameter matching system will assist in setting optimal values for Hot Start, ARC Force, and Anti Stick features.

  3. Start Welding:
    • Position the welding rod close to the workpiece.
    • Press the Arc-starting Trigger Switch to initiate the arc. The welder features a "Fast Arc Start" for quick and easy ignition.
    • Maintain a consistent arc length and travel speed for smooth and strong welds.
  4. Monitor Weld Quality: The welder is designed to produce smooth welds with no burn-through, even for beginners.
  5. Power Off: Once welding is complete, release the trigger switch and turn off the Power Switch.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the welder's exterior with a dry cloth. Ensure the cooling fan vents are free from dust and debris to maintain optimal airflow.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cables (power, ground clamp) for cuts, fraying, or loose connections. Replace damaged cables immediately.
  • Electrode Collet: Keep the electrode collet clean and free of spatter to ensure proper rod insertion and electrical contact.
  • Storage: Store the welder in its carry case in a dry, clean, and secure location when not in use.
