7. Audio Transmission Methods

The device offers four audio output methods to connect to your original car audio system. Please read carefully.

Mode 1: Device Speaker

The device has a built-in speaker, and sound will be output directly from it.

Mode 2: Bluetooth Transmission (Requires car to support Bluetooth audio)

  1. First, select this connection type on the device. Note that there will be no sound from the device itself after selection; it needs to connect to your car's Bluetooth for sound transmission.
  2. After connecting CarPlay or Android Auto, connect your mobile phone's Bluetooth to your car's original Bluetooth system. This will transmit the device's sound to your car's audio.

Mode 3: FMT Transmission (FM Transmitter)

Note: This is an FMT audio transmission function, not an FM radio function.

  1. First, select this connection type on the device. Similar to Bluetooth, there will be no sound from the device itself after selection; it needs to connect to your car's FM radio for sound transmission.
  2. Select a frequency band on the device (e.g., FM106.0). Then, tune your car's original FM radio to the exact same frequency band (e.g., FM106.0).

IMPORTANT: If the selected FM band has a local radio station, it may cause interference or murmurs. In such cases, please select a different, clear frequency band on the device for audio transmission.

Mode 4: AUX Wired Transmission (Requires car to have an AUX port)

  1. First, select this connection type on the device. There will be no sound from the device itself after selection; it needs to be connected via AUX for sound transmission.
  2. Use the provided AUX cable to connect the device to your car's original AUX port.

8. TF Card Usage

When you first insert a TF card, navigate to the settings menu on the device and select the 'Format' option. This ensures the memory card functions correctly.

Troubleshooting (Q&A)

1. Why is the memory card not detected or abnormal?

Solution: Please select the 'Format Memory Card' option in the device's Settings menu.

2. Why can't I use Airplay or Mirror link?

Solutions:

  • When using the mirroring function, ensure you switch to the corresponding mirroring link option on the function page and connect according to the prompts. You cannot directly switch to the mirroring page from the CarPlay or Android Auto page.
  • If your phone prompts that the connection to Airplay fails, reboot your phone and try reconnecting.
  • Some mobile phone app videos may not be mirrored due to copyright issues.

3. Is this device compatible with my car?

Compatibility: This carplay unit works with all car models from 7-24V. Please check your car's output voltage to ensure it falls within this range. The base bracket is flat, so installation may not be ideal for curved or semi-circular car center consoles.

4. Can this device be powered by other devices?

Power Source: No. It can only be powered by the cigarette lighter power cord included in the box. Using other power sources may lead to an unstable connection or a black screen.

5. Does this device support watching videos?

Video Playback: Yes, it supports Airplay and Android Cast. You can project your phone's video apps onto this screen through the mirroring function. All operations for video playback must be done on your phone when using the mirror link.

6. What should I do if the device is not turned on or restarts repeatedly?

Solutions:

  1. Ensure you are using the configured power cord. Using other power interfaces will cause this abnormal situation.
  2. Check if the power cord is connected correctly and if the cigarette lighter interface is providing normal power.
  3. If power is normal and the device repeatedly reboots, pull out the TF card and then go to the settings menu to select the 'Restore factory settings' option.

User Tips

  • Always use the provided power cable for stable operation.
  • For optimal audio quality via FMT (FM Transmitter), choose an FM frequency that is clear and not occupied by local radio stations.
  • When using mirroring functions, ensure your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are active and correctly paired.
  • If experiencing issues, a factory reset (after removing the TF card) can often resolve software glitches.
