4. Setup Guide

4.1 Charging the Printer

  1. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the printer's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.

The Marklife X8 printer uses thermal paper only. Do not attempt to use regular paper.

  1. Gently open the paper cover of the printer.

  3. Adjust the paper guides to fit the width of the paper snugly.
  4. Close the paper cover securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • **Power On:** Press and hold the power button until the indicator light illuminates.
  • **Power Off:** Press and hold the power button until the indicator light turns off.

  6. Initiate the print job. The printer will automatically feed the thermal paper and begin printing.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Print Head

To ensure optimal print quality, clean the print head regularly:

  1. Turn off the printer and disconnect it from any power source.

  • Ensure the Marklife app is updated to the latest version.

7.4 Paper Jam

  • Turn off the printer immediately.
  • Gently open the paper cover and carefully remove any jammed paper. Avoid tearing the paper inside the mechanism.
  • Ensure the paper is loaded correctly and the paper guides are adjusted properly.

8. User Tips

  • For best results, use the official Marklife app for mobile printing, as it often provides optimized settings for the printer.
  • When printing from a computer, ensure the correct printer drivers are installed.
  • Keep a supply of thermal paper on hand, as this printer does not use ink cartridges.
  • The compact size and lightweight design make it ideal for travel; remember to fully charge it before long trips.
