1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the AUARITA NOVA1 (nova light) LVMP Spray Gun. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new spray gun. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and keep it for future reference.

2. Safety Information
Always observe general safety precautions when operating power tools and working with paints and solvents. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and a respirator.
- Ensure adequate ventilation in your work area to prevent the buildup of hazardous fumes.
- Keep the spray gun away from open flames, sparks, and other ignition sources.
- Never point the spray gun at yourself or others.
- Disconnect the air supply before cleaning, adjusting, or performing maintenance on the spray gun.
- Use only compatible and recommended materials (paints, thinners, solvents).

4. Setup
- Unpacking and Inspection: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the spray gun and accessories for any damage. Ensure all parts listed in Figure 1 are present.
- Connect Air Supply: Attach the provided air connector to the air inlet of the spray gun. Connect your air hose from a compressor to the air connector. Ensure a secure, leak-free connection.
- Attach Gravity Cup: Screw the 250CC gravity feed cup onto the top of the spray gun body. Ensure it is tightened securely to prevent leaks.
- Prepare Material: Mix your paint or coating material according to the manufacturer's instructions. Strain the material to remove any impurities that could clog the nozzle.
- Fill Gravity Cup: Pour the prepared material into the gravity feed cup. Do not overfill.
- Adjust Air Pressure: Connect the air supply and set your compressor's regulator to the optimal operating pressure of 1.5 bar (approx. 22 PSI). You may need to fine-tune this based on the material viscosity and desired finish.

5. Operation
Familiarize yourself with the spray gun's controls before beginning to spray.

- Adjust Controls:
- Fluid Control Knob: Adjusts the amount of paint flowing through the gun. Turn clockwise for less fluid, counter-clockwise for more.
- Fan Pattern Control Knob: Adjusts the shape of the spray pattern from round to wide fan.
- Air Inlet Knob: Controls the air pressure at the gun.
- Test Spray: Always test the spray pattern on a piece of scrap material before applying to your workpiece. Adjust the controls until you achieve the desired pattern and atomization.
- Spraying Technique:
- Hold the gun perpendicular to the surface, typically 6-8 inches away.
- Move the gun at a consistent speed, overlapping each pass by about 50%.
- Trigger the gun fully at the start of each pass and release at the end to avoid paint buildup.
6. Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and performance of your spray gun.
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, immediately empty any remaining material from the cup. Pour appropriate cleaning solvent (e.g., thinner for solvent-based paints, water for water-based paints) into the cup and spray it through the gun until it runs clear.
- Disassembly and Detailed Cleaning:
- Disconnect the air supply.
- Remove the air cap, fluid nozzle, and fluid needle.
- Use the provided cleaning brush and solvent to thoroughly clean all components. Pay special attention to the air cap holes and fluid nozzle.
- Never use metal objects to clean the nozzle or air cap, as this can damage them.
- Reassembly: Reassemble the gun, ensuring all parts are clean and properly seated. Lubricate moving parts (e.g., fluid needle packing) with a small amount of spray gun lubricant if necessary.
- Storage: Store the clean and dry spray gun in a safe place, protected from dust and extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pulsating or uneven spray | Low material in cup, clogged air vent, loose fluid nozzle, insufficient air pressure. | Refill cup, clear air vent, tighten nozzle, increase air pressure. |
| No paint flow | Clogged nozzle/fluid passage, fluid needle stuck, material too thick. | Clean nozzle/fluid passage, check needle movement, thin material. |
| Excessive overspray | Too much air pressure, gun too far from surface, material too thin. | Reduce air pressure, move gun closer, thicken material. |
| Paint leaks from nozzle | Damaged fluid needle or seat, loose fluid nozzle. | Inspect/replace needle/seat, tighten nozzle. |
| Fan pattern distorted | Clogged air cap horns, damaged air cap. | Clean air cap horns, replace damaged air cap. |
8. User Tips
- For best results, always ensure your paint is properly thinned and strained.
- Practice on scrap material to get a feel for the gun's adjustments and your spraying technique.
- Clean the gun immediately after use to prevent paint from drying and clogging internal components.
- Consider using an inline air filter to prevent moisture and contaminants from reaching the gun.
