3. Installation
3.1 Important Tips Before Use
Prepare your home environment for optimal cleaning:
- Clear any debris or wires on the floor that may entangle the robot.
- Remove easily fallen, fragile, valuable, or potentially hazardous items.
- Fold fringed edges of decorative carpets to prevent entanglement. Avoid very dark or thick carpets (>12.7mm).
- The robot may crawl onto objects less than 20mm high; remove these if possible.
- If using in suspended environments or hazardous areas (e.g., fireplaces, exhaust vents), use sturdy physical barriers to prevent falls.
- Keep the robot away from damp areas and viscous substances.
- Observe the robot during its first few runs and make adjustments as needed for smoother operation.
3.2 Get Started
1) Remove Protective Items
Before first use, remove the protective strip and film from the robot to ensure normal operation.
2) Install Side Brush
Align the side brush with its slot on the robot and press until it clicks into place.
3) Place the Charging Base, Connect Power, and Charge the Robot
- Connect the power adapter and store excess wire. Ensure wires are not hanging on the ground to avoid entanglement.
- Place the charging base in an easy-to-access position. Ensure no objects are placed within 1.5m in front and 0.5m from both sides of the charging base. Do not cover the signal transmitting area. Avoid direct sunlight. Place on a horizontal, non-slip, hard surface against a wall.
- Connect the robot to the charging base by aligning the charging contact pins. The robot will turn on automatically.
It is recommended to fully charge the robot for 4-6 hours before first use.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Main Functions
Turn On/Off
Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn on the robot. It will enter standby mode after the power indicator lights up. Press and hold the Power button again for 3 seconds to turn off. The robot cannot be turned off during charging.
Start Cleaning (Auto Cleaning)
Press the Power button to start cleaning. The robot will leave the charging base, generate a map via auto-scanning, determine its cleaning route, and clean in an S-shaped motion along walls. If the battery is low, cleaning will not start. If power is insufficient during cleaning, the robot will return to the charging base, fully charge, and resume cleaning. Tidy up floor wires before cleaning. Do not move the charging base during cleaning.
Pause/Resume/Sleep
While working, press any button to pause. Press the Power button to continue cleaning. If idle for 5 minutes, the robot enters sleep mode (indicator lights off). Press any button to wake it up. If the robot is put back to the charging base while paused, the cleaning task will end. The robot will not enter sleep mode while charging. The robot will automatically shut down after 8 hours in sleep mode.
Recharge
Auto mode: The robot automatically returns to the charging base when cleaning is finished or the battery is low.
Manual mode: In pause mode, press the Recharge button or use the mobile app to initiate recharging. If the device does not find the charging base, manually place the robot on it. The indicator light will pulse during charging.
Map Management
Create a Smart Map
The robot will create a new smart map during its first cleaning task or after a map reset. To generate a complete floor plan, ensure doors are open and remove any blocking objects. Do not move the charging base or disconnect power during map creation.
Real-time Mapping
Real-time mapping shows the cleaning path and environment. The smart map updates in real-time for normal navigation.
Relocalize and Remap
If the robot or charging base is moved, or the environment changes significantly, the robot will attempt to relocalize or remap. If relocalization is successful, cleaning resumes. If it fails in spot, zone, or room cleaning modes, the task terminates. If it fails in auto cleaning mode, the robot will remap, but map settings (no-go zones, room dividers) will be lost. Always start each cleaning from the charging base.
Spot Cleaning (App Only)
Use the mobile app to start spot cleaning. The robot will clean a 1.5m x 1.5m area centered on itself and then return to the starting position. Starting spot cleaning will end any other ongoing tasks.
Zone Cleaning (App Only)
Using the app, set one or more temporary zones for cleaning. The robot will clean only these zones and automatically return to the charging base. This function requires map generation to be complete. Ensure obstacles are cleared around the marked area.
Room Cleaning (App Only)
Using the mobile app, set one or more partitions on the map for selective cleaning. The robot will clean the selected rooms and automatically return to the charging base. This function requires map creation and partition settings to be complete. Ensure obstacles are cleared around the selected area.
Scheduled Cleaning (App Only)
Schedule customized cleaning tasks via the mobile app. The robot will start automatically at the set time and return to the charging base. If a scheduled cleaning is triggered while another task is in progress, the previous task will end.
Suction Level (App Only)
Select different suction levels via the app for best cleaning effect. Higher suction leads to shorter cleaning time but higher noise.
Auto Pressure Boost (App Only)
The robot automatically increases suction power on thick carpets or hard-to-clean messes. This reduces cleaning time but increases noise. This feature can be turned off in the mobile app.
Dust Emptying
Auto Dust Emptying: After cleaning, the robot returns to the self-emptying charging base and performs automatic dust emptying according to the set frequency (adjustable in the app).
Manual Dust Emptying: When the robot is connected to the charging base, press the Recharge button on the robot to start manual dust emptying.
Note that dust emptying generates significant noise. Frequent triggering may lead to failed dust emptying. If not needed, auto dust emptying can be turned off in the app settings.
4.2 Mopping Function
The mopping function is activated by installing the mopping combo module and filling the dust box and water tank combo module with water. The robot automatically activates mopping. Water flow rate can be set via the app.

Mopping Steps:
- Fill the water tank: Remove the dust and water tank module. Unplug the water tank, fill it with water, and push back the plug. Do not use detergents or hot water.
- Install the mop: Wet the mop, wring it until no water drips. Place the mop bracket face-down and insert the mop along the slots, sticking it firmly.
- Install the mopping module: Align the mopping module with the installed mop parallel to the rear of the robot and push it in until it clicks.
- Start cleaning: The mopping function activates when cleaning starts.
- Take out the mopping module: After cleaning, press the pause key, then press the buttons on both sides to remove the mopping module.
After mopping, or during charging/idle, remove and clean the mop. Empty water from the tank to prevent odors or mold. Use mopping function under supervision. Avoid leaving the wet mopping module in one area for too long. The mopping module reduces over-obstacle height. Only use on clean floors without stubborn stains or liquids. Not suitable for carpets or uneven surfaces. For best results, clean the floor three times before mopping.
Water Volume Adjustment
Select different water volume levels via the app. Higher water volume shortens single mopping time. Replenish water as needed.
4.3 Network Function
Reset Wi-Fi
If your mobile phone cannot connect to the robot, reset Wi-Fi by pressing and holding the Power and Recharge buttons for 3 seconds until you hear the voice prompt. The indicator light will flash slowly, indicating readiness for pairing. Refer to the 'Installation > Connect to mobile client' section for detailed instructions.
Mobile App Functions
Remotely control the robot, set cleaning schedules, switch modes, adjust suction, review status, and cleaning records. Set no-go zones and virtual walls. The app supports dual-band WiFi (5GHz & 2.4GHz). Download the 'Smart Life' app from your app store. Ensure your smartphone runs iOS 9.0+ or Android 5.0+ and Bluetooth is on for better connection.

4.4 Other Functions
Find My Robot
If the robot is stuck, use the 'Find my robot' feature in the app.
Force Restart System
If buttons are unresponsive, force shutdown by pressing and holding the Power button for 10 seconds (when not charging), then press and hold for 3 seconds to turn on.
Restore Factory Settings
If the system cannot be used normally after restarting, restore factory settings. When not charging, press and hold the Recharge button for 15 seconds until a prompt tone is heard. This clears all information and settings, requiring reconfiguration.
