5. Maintenance
5.1 Memory Card Management
- Regularly format the memory card (at least once a month) through the dashcam's menu to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
- Use only high-quality, Class 10 or higher TF cards from reputable brands. Poor quality cards can lead to recording issues or data loss.
- Locked video files are not overwritten by loop recording. Periodically review and delete unnecessary locked files to free up space.
5.2 Cleaning
- Ensure the dashcam camera lenses are clean and free from obstructions. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the lenses.
- Keep the dashcam unit clean by wiping it with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
5.3 Environmental Care
- Avoid exposing the device to direct sunlight or temperatures above 75°C (170°F) for extended periods, as this can affect its lifespan and performance.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Common Problems and Solutions
- Problem: The dashcam displays "memory full" or stops loop recording.
- Solution 1: Format the TF card on the dashcam. If it's a new card or was previously used in another device, formatting is essential.
- Solution 2: Check the G-sensor sensitivity. If it's set too high, minor bumps can trigger it, locking many video files and filling up the card. Adjust G-sensor to 'Low' or 'Middle'.
- Solution 3: Ensure you are using a high-speed (Class 10 or above) memory card.
- Problem: The device automatically turns on or off.
- Solution 1: Check the connection status of the car charger. A loose connection or unstable power supply can cause this.
- Solution 2: Try a different car charger to rule out a faulty charger.
- Problem: The rear camera doesn't show an image.
- Solution 1: Switch the camera display mode on the dashcam to ensure the rear camera view is selected.
- Solution 2: Check if the AV plug is connected correctly and securely.
- Solution 3: Disconnect the camera, clean the connector with medical alcohol, and then reconnect it.
- Problem: Screen operation or button response is slow during recording.
- Solution 1: Ensure you are using a high-speed (Class 10 or above) memory card. Non-high-speed cards can cause performance issues.
- Solution 2: Reset the camera if necessary.
7. User Tips
- Memory Card Formatting: Always format your new TF card directly on the DVR unit, not on a computer, to ensure proper compatibility and function.
- G-Sensor Sensitivity: If you find too many video files are being locked unnecessarily, reduce the G-sensor sensitivity setting to 'Low' or 'Middle' to optimize loop recording.
- WiFi Usage: Remember that the built-in WiFi is exclusively for connecting to the mobile app for viewing and downloading footage. It does not provide internet access for other online activities.
- Power Connection: For reliable operation, ensure the dashcam is always connected to a stable power source via the car charger. It is designed to power on and off automatically with your vehicle.
