Setup Instructions

  1. Connect to Helmet Headset: Locate the AUX input port on your Vimoto Bluetooth helmet headset. Connect the 3.5mm audio jack of the S63 K-Port Connection Cable into this AUX port. Ensure a firm connection.

    Important Tip: Always connect the AUX cable to the headset first before connecting to the two-way radio to ensure proper voice transmission.

  2. Connect to Two-Way Radio: Identify the K-port (two-pin) connector on your compatible two-way radio. Align the K-port connector of the S63 cable with the radio's port and push firmly until it clicks into place.

  3. Secure the PTT Button: The cable features a Push-to-Talk (PTT) button with a clothing clip. Attach this clip to a convenient location on your clothing or gear for easy access during operation.

  4. Cable Management: Utilize the coiled section of the cable to manage excess length and provide flexibility during movement. Ensure the cable is routed safely to avoid snagging or interference.

Operating Instructions

Once the S63 K-Port Connection Cable is properly connected to your helmet headset and two-way radio:

  • Receiving Audio: Audio from your two-way radio will be automatically routed through the S63 cable to your connected Vimoto Bluetooth helmet headset.
  • Transmitting Audio: To transmit, press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on the S63 cable. Speak clearly into your helmet headset's microphone. Release the PTT button when you are finished speaking.
  • Volume Control: Adjust the volume using the controls on your Vimoto Bluetooth helmet headset or your two-way radio, as appropriate.

Care and Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the cable and connectors with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the cable in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
  • Handling: Do not pull the cable forcefully from the connectors. Always grasp the connector housing when disconnecting. Avoid excessive bending or stretching of the coiled section to prevent damage to internal wires.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the cable for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage to the connectors. Discontinue use if damage is observed.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
No voice/audio from radio to headset. AUX cable not connected to headset first. Loose connection. Ensure the 3.5mm AUX jack is connected to the Vimoto headset BEFORE connecting the K-port to the radio. Check all connections are secure. Verify headset is powered on and functioning.
