4.1 Device Overview

4.2 Installation

The NaviFly PD8 is designed for easy, hassle-free installation without requiring complex wiring or car disassembly. It uses a cigarette lighter plug-and-play connection and a magnetic mounting system.

  1. Choose Mounting Location: Select a suitable location on your dashboard or air vent that provides optimal visibility without obstructing your view of the road. The magnetic mount allows for flexible placement.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button located on the side of the device to turn it on or off.

5.2 Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto

The NaviFly PD8 supports wireless CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration.

  1. Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your smartphone.
  2. On the NaviFly PD8, navigate to the CarPlay or Android Auto application.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your phone via Bluetooth. Once paired, the system will automatically connect via Wi-Fi for the CarPlay/Android Auto functionality.

5.3 Bluetooth Connectivity

To connect your phone via Bluetooth for calls and music:

  1. On the NaviFly PD8, tap the 'BT' icon to enter Bluetooth settings.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and search for available devices.
  3. Select 'CAR-XTD-BT_C229' (or similar device name) from your phone's Bluetooth list.
  4. Enter the PIN code '0000' if prompted.
  5. Confirm pairing on both devices.

5.4 FM Radio

To use the FM radio function:

  1. Tap the 'FM' icon on the main screen.
  2. Turn on the FM function on the device.
  3. Tune to your desired frequency using the on-screen controls.
  4. Ensure your car radio is also tuned to the same FM frequency to receive audio through your car's speakers.

5.5 Media Playback (MP3/MP4/JPEG)

The device supports playback of various media formats from a TF card:

  • Music: Tap the 'Music' icon to browse and play MP3, WMA, and other audio files from your TF card.
  • Video: Tap the 'Video' icon to browse and play MP4 and other video files from your TF card.

To mirror your smartphone screen to the NaviFly PD8:

  1. Connect your mobile phone to the local wireless network provided by the NaviFly PD8 (Network name: carplaywt_XXXX, Password: 12345678).
  2. Open the screen mirroring function on your phone (e.g., AirPlay for iPhone, Smart View for Android).
  3. Select 'Car' or the device name to initiate screen mirroring.

5.7 Audio Equalizer (EQ)

Adjust audio settings for optimal sound quality:

  1. Tap the 'EQ' icon on the main screen.
  2. Adjust the frequency bands, loudness, and balance settings as desired.
  3. Choose from preset modes like Jazz, Classic, Rock, Pop, Soft, or customize your own 'User' profile.
