7. Calibration Procedure
Recalibrate the device after impact or significant temperature changes to maintain accuracy. The calibration process involves several steps:
- Step 1: Place the inclinometer on a flat, horizontal surface. Long press both the Power button and the H/% key simultaneously until the screen displays "CR.d1" and you hear a beep. This indicates entry into calibration mode.
- Step 2: With "CR.d1" displayed, rotate the instrument 180° (keeping it on the same flat surface). Press the H/% key to confirm. The screen will display "CR.d2" and you will hear a beep.
- Step 3: With "CR.d2" displayed, rotate the instrument 90° to a vertical position (e.g., against a wall). Press the H/% key to confirm. The screen will display "CR.d3" and you will hear a beep.
- Step 4: With "CR.d3" displayed, rotate the instrument 180° (keeping it in the vertical position). Press the H/% key to confirm. The screen will display "CR.d4" and you will hear a beep.
- Step 5: With "CR.d4" displayed, lay the back of the meter flat on the surface (screen facing up). Ensure the buttons are suspended to keep it level. Press the H/% key to confirm. The screen will display "CR.d5" and you will hear a beep.
- Step 6: With "CR.d5" displayed, flip the instrument 180° (screen facing downward) and place it flat. Press the H/% key to confirm. The screen will display "CR.d6" and you will hear a beep.
- Step 7: After "CR.d6" flashes and beeps, press the H/% key to confirm. The display will show "CR.d" and calibration will be automatically completed after 3 seconds.
