4. Operation

4.1 Basic Controls

• VOL/VALUE Knob: Adjusts the overall volume or parameter values depending on the selected mode. Press to confirm selections.
• EXIT Button: Returns to the previous menu or exits a parameter editing screen.
• SAVE Button: Saves your current preset settings.
• GLOBAL Button: Accesses global settings for the device.
• DRUM Button: Activates the drum machine/metronome function.

4.2 Effect Module Buttons

The 9 illuminated buttons (NR, FX1, DRV, AMP, IR, EQ, FX2, DLY, RVB) correspond to different effect modules. Press a button to toggle the effect module on/off within the current preset. Press and hold a button to enter its specific parameter editing screen.

• Left Footswitch (TUNER): Tap to activate/deactivate the tuner.
• Right Footswitch (HOLD FOR LOOPER): Tap to control various functions depending on the mode. Hold to activate the 20-second phrase looper.
• Multi-color Light Rings: Provide visual feedback on the status of effects and modes.

4.4 Using the Mobile App (Soniclink) and PC Software (Sonic Manager)

Connect your Smart Box to the Soniclink mobile app or Sonic Manager PC software for advanced tone editing, preset management, and loading of IR/NAM files. These applications offer a visual interface for precise parameter adjustments and access to additional features like drum machine rhythms.

4.5 OTG Recording and USB Audio Interface

The Smart Box supports OTG recording, allowing you to directly record your instrument's audio signal to a connected mobile phone or other mobile device. When connected to a computer via USB, it functions as a 2-in-1/2-out USB audio interface, supporting advanced features like Loopback and Re-Amping for flexible recording and production workflows.

4.6 MIDI Control

The device supports both USB MIDI and Bluetooth MIDI, enabling connection to external MIDI control devices for expanded control over parameters and functions, enhancing live performance capabilities.

5. Maintenance
