1. Product Overview

This MEKEDE Android 15 Car Radio Navigation Multimedia Player is designed to enhance your driving experience with advanced features and seamless integration into your Alfa Romeo 159, Brera, Spider, or Sportwagon. It offers a 7-inch touch screen display, built-in GPS navigation, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth functionality, and multimedia playback capabilities.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Pre-Installation Check

Before installation, confirm your vehicle's dashboard dimensions match the unit's size (192mm x 120mm, 7-inch display). This unit is specifically designed for Alfa Romeo 159, Brera, Spider, and Sportwagon models. Refer to the compatibility diagram below.

3.2 Wiring Connections

It is highly recommended to have a professional car service store install this device to prevent damage due to incorrect installation.

1. Power Connector: Connect the main power harness to your vehicle's power supply.
2. Audio and Video Multifunctional Plug: Use the provided RCA cables for audio and video input/output connections (e.g., external amplifier, monitors).
3. USB Ports (USB1, USB2): Connect USB devices for media playback or charging.
4. Camera Input: Connect the reversing camera cable here.
5. GPS Antenna: Connect the GPS antenna for navigation functionality.
6. Radio Antenna: Connect your vehicle's radio antenna.
7. Canbus Port: If your car requires a Canbus module for steering wheel controls or other vehicle data integration, connect the Canbus cable to this port.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Main Interface and Navigation

The device features an intuitive Android 15 operating system. Upon startup, you will see the main menu with various applications and functions. The interface is designed for ease of use and customization.

4.2 CarPlay and Android Auto

This unit comes with built-in wireless CarPlay (for iOS) and Android Auto (for Android devices), eliminating the need for additional accessories.

Wireless CarPlay (iOS System):

1. Connect your iPhone via Bluetooth.
2. Open the "Zlink" application on the head unit and wait for the connection.

Wireless Android Auto (Android System):

1. Connect your Android phone via Bluetooth.
2. Open the "Zlink" application on the head unit and wait for the connection.

Note: CarPlay and Android Auto can also be connected via USB cable.

4.3 Bluetooth Function (BT)

The intelligent Bluetooth system supports mobile phone pairing for hands-free calling, phonebook synchronization, call records, and Bluetooth music streaming. This ensures safer driving by allowing you to manage calls and music without distraction.

4.4 GPS Navigation

The built-in global positioning system provides omni-directional map display, real-time traffic conditions, and fast, accurate positioning. The unit supports various navigation applications.

4.5 FM RDS Radio

The FM RDS Radio supports both automatic and manual station search. You can easily drag and drop station icons to customize your channel list.

4.6 Steering Wheel Control (SWC)

Take control of music playback and hands-free calling directly from your steering wheel. The unit's SWC function works with digital steering wheel controls. You can configure the buttons through the settings menu.

4.7 Multimedia Playback (USB)

The Android multimedia player supports playing music, movies, and photos via USB connections. The unit features dual USB ports for extended connectivity.

4.8 Play Store and Applications

Access the Google Play Store to download and install a wide range of applications, including YouTube, VK, Twitter, Skype, Facebook, Messenger, LinkedIn, Navitel, IGO Navigation, Spotify, Yandex, Yandex Map, Waze, Netflix, and Instagram.

4.9 Optional Features (Sold Separately)

• OBD II Support: With an optional OBD II device, you can monitor real-time car data and retrieve fault codes from the vehicle's computer, displaying information such as fuel volume, speed, and temperature.

• TPMS Support: After correctly installing an optional TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), sensors will automatically monitor tire pressure and temperature, sending real-time statistics to the receiver.

• AHD Reversing Video: Connect an optional AHD reversing camera for clearer rear-view video quality compared to standard cameras.

• ADAS DVR Anti-collision Warning Driving Recorder: An optional ADAS DVR provides front vehicle distance prediction, front vehicle anti-collision warnings, and lane departure warnings to enhance driving safety.

5. Maintenance

• Software Updates: MEKEDE provides free updates for Firmware, Software, UI, and GPS Navigation maps. Regularly check for and install updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior of the unit. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Environmental Conditions: Operate the device within recommended temperature ranges. Avoid extreme heat or cold.

Many issues with Android devices are caused by improper installation or settings. If you encounter a problem, please contact support before opening a dispute.

Common Issue: Rear-view Camera Not Working

Problem: The rear-view camera does not display an image, or there is a manual lack of mounting camera problem.

Solution: Access the factory settings and set the camera type. The default password is 1234. Follow the steps shown in the image below:
