4.2 Chain Installation and Tensioning

The chainsaw comes with one chain pre-mounted. If you need to replace or adjust the chain:

  1. Ensure the battery is removed from the chainsaw for safety.
  2. Loosen the two nuts securing the side cover of the chainsaw.
  3. Carefully remove the side cover and the old chain (if replacing).
  4. Place the new chain around the guide bar, ensuring the cutting teeth are facing the correct direction.
  5. Re-attach the side cover and hand-tighten the nuts.
  6. Use the tool-free chain tensioning knob to adjust the chain tension. Turn the knob to achieve proper tension – the chain should be snug but still able to be pulled slightly away from the guide bar.
  7. Once tensioned, fully tighten the two nuts to secure the side cover.

4.3 Automatic Oiling System Setup

The chainsaw features an automatic oiling system for continuous lubrication.

  1. Locate the oil reservoir cap on the chainsaw unit.
  2. Unscrew the cap and pour up to 30ml of appropriate chainsaw bar and chain oil into the reservoir.
  3. Tighten the cap securely.
  4. Before starting, squeeze the bulb a few times to prime the system and ensure oil reaches the chain.

4.4 Telescopic Pole Assembly

To convert the mini chainsaw into a pole saw:

  1. Ensure the battery is removed from the mini chainsaw unit.
  2. Attach the mini chainsaw unit securely to the end of the telescopic extension pole. Follow the locking mechanism instructions to ensure a firm connection.
  3. Adjust the pole to your desired length, up to 9.4ft, by extending the sections and locking them in place. This allows for a reach of up to 15ft.
  4. The cutting head can be adjusted up to 120 degrees for optimal cutting angles.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Pre-Operation Checklist

  • Ensure battery is fully charged and securely installed.
  • Check chain tension and ensure it is properly lubricated.
  • Verify all connections (for pole saw) are secure.
  • Wear all recommended PPE (goggles, gloves, etc.).
  • Clear the work area of bystanders, pets, and obstacles.

5.2 Starting and Stopping the Chainsaw

  1. To start, press the safety lock button and then squeeze the trigger simultaneously.
  2. To stop, release the trigger. The safety lock will automatically reset.

5.3 Cutting Techniques

  • Mini Chainsaw Use: Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands, ensuring a stable grip. Position the chainsaw against the wood and engage the trigger. Allow the saw to do the work; do not force it.
  • Pole Saw Use: Maintain a balanced stance. Extend the pole to the appropriate length, ensuring you have control. Use the 120° adjustable head to find the best cutting angle. Make cuts in a controlled manner, avoiding overreaching.
  • For branches, make an undercut first to prevent bark stripping, then complete the cut from above.
  • The 800W brushless motor provides a chain speed of 8m/s (26ft/s), allowing for efficient cuts, typically cutting branches in 8 seconds (actual time may vary).

6. Maintenance

6.1 General Cleaning

  • Always remove the battery before cleaning.
  • Use a dry cloth or soft brush to remove sawdust and debris from the chainsaw body, guide bar, and chain.
  • Do not use water or solvents that could damage the tool.

6.2 Chain Lubrication

  • Regularly check the oil level in the automatic oiling system. Refill as needed with appropriate bar and chain oil.
  • Ensure the oiling system is functioning correctly by observing oil on the chain during operation.

6.3 Chain Tension and Sharpening

  • Check chain tension before each use and adjust using the tool-free tensioning knob if necessary.
  • A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase strain on the motor. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when necessary.

6.4 Storage

  • Store the chainsaw and batteries in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Ensure the battery is removed from the tool before storage.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

7. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
