Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Keyboard
- Keycaps: The Doubleshot PBT keycaps are durable. To clean, gently remove them using a keycap puller. Wash with mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly before reattaching.
- Keyboard Body: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid excessive moisture.
- Between Keycaps: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps and switches. A small brush can also be used.
2. Switch Maintenance
Since the switches are hot-swappable, you can easily replace faulty switches. For optimal performance, occasional lubrication of switches can enhance smoothness and sound, though this is an advanced user preference.
Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not responding:
- Ensure the keyboard is charged.
- Check the mode switch slider is in the correct position (Cable, 2.4G, or BT).
- For 2.4G, ensure the USB receiver is properly plugged in.
- For Bluetooth, ensure it's paired and selected (Fn + 1/2/3). Try re-pairing.
- Try a different USB port or cable.
- RGB lighting not working or incorrect:
- Ensure the keyboard is powered on.
- Check lighting settings via Fn key combinations.
- Use the web driver software to diagnose and adjust lighting profiles.
- Keys not registering or ghosting:
- The keyboard features 100% anti-ghosting and N-key rollover, so this should be rare.
- Ensure no debris is under the keycap or switch.
- If a specific key is faulty, consider hot-swapping the switch.
- Test with a wired connection to rule out wireless interference.
- Web driver software not detecting keyboard:
- Ensure the keyboard is connected via USB-C or 2.4G wireless (Bluetooth is not supported for web driver).
- Verify the plug-in is correctly installed and allowed by your browser.
- Try a different browser or restart your computer.
