7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues and provides solutions. If you encounter a problem not listed here, or if the suggested solutions do not resolve the issue, please contact customer support.

7.1. Cannot Boot Normally

  1. Wiring Check: Ensure the yellow (B+), red (ACC), and black (GND) wires are correctly connected. Yellow to constant +12V, Red to ignition +12V, Black to ground. Incorrect or incomplete connections will prevent the unit from booting.
  2. Fuse Check: If wiring is correct, check the fuse on the yellow line. If blown, replace it. If it keeps blowing, there might be a short circuit in the unit's protection circuit.
  3. Power Test: If all else fails, connect the yellow and red wires directly to a +12V source (e.g., car battery positive) and the black wire to ground. Press the unit's power button. If it boots, the issue is with your car's wiring; if not, the unit may be faulty.

7.2. Automatic Shut-down

  1. Cable Error: If the blue (automatic antenna power supply) cable is connected to the unit's power cable, it may cause automatic shutdown. Ensure correct wiring.
  2. Unstable Voltage: Test the 12V-5A power supply. If it shuts down automatically during the test, replace the power supply. If it still shuts down, the unit may have an internal problem.

7.3. Noise Issues

  1. Speaker Power: If the original speaker power is too low, increasing the unit's volume may cause noise. Avoid excessively high volume.
  2. Grounded Speaker Cable: If a speaker cable is grounded, connect it directly to the unit's speaker cable.

7.4. Remote Control Not Working

  1. Test Method: Use a mobile phone camera to view the remote control's light while pressing buttons. If the light doesn't flash, the battery is dead; replace it. If it flashes, the remote control is functional.

7.5. Settings Not Saved (No Memory)

  1. Wiring Reversal: Ensure the yellow and red wires are not connected together. The yellow wire should be connected to constant positive, and the red wire to key control.
  2. Reversed Wires: If yellow and red wires are reversed, simply swap their positions.

7.6. Bluetooth Not Working

Ensure the unit's Bluetooth is turned on and discoverable. Search for the unit's Bluetooth name on your mobile phone and connect. If issues persist, try restarting both devices.

7.7. Product Emits Smoke

Immediately replace the FUSE. If the problem persists, the internal circuit may be burned. Contact customer service.

7.8. Sound Cannot Be Adjusted

  1. Reset: Reset the unit or unplug and replug the power cord.
  2. Volume Knob: If the volume knob is broken, it needs to be replaced.

7.9. Reversing Camera Not Displaying

  1. Wiring: Check for incorrect or missing wiring. Refer to the reversing camera installation section.
  2. Faulty Camera: If the camera's light doesn't illuminate when properly wired, the camera may be faulty and needs replacement.

7.10. USB Devices Cannot Be Played

Format the USB flash drive to FAT32. Re-download one or two songs and try again. If it still doesn't work, replace the USB flash drive.

7.11. FM Radio Not Receiving Stations

  1. Antenna Connection: Ensure the antenna plug is fully inserted. Check if the antenna is disconnected or the line is faulty.
  2. Search Function: Use the "AS" button to automatically search for stations, or manually search using the forward/backward buttons.
  3. Antenna Replacement: If the above steps don't work, unplug the antenna plug and insert a screwdriver or metal strip into the antenna port as a temporary antenna to test.

7.12. No Sound Immediately After Installation

If there is no sound immediately after installation, it's usually a wiring error or a short-circuited original car speaker wire. Follow these steps:

  1. Speaker Cable Check: Verify if the speaker cable is short-circuited and connected. Reconnect if there's any short circuit.
  2. Speaker Configuration: Check how many speaker cables are present. If only 2 speaker cables are available, it indicates the original car line does not match the unit, and you need to re-route the original car line. One speaker requires 2 wires; two speakers require 4 wires.

7.13. No Sound After A While

Disconnect all speaker cables from the unit (do not remove them). Find an external speaker and connect it to the gray and purple tail lines of the unit. If there's sound, it indicates a short-circuit in the car's speaker line or a damaged speaker. If there's no sound, the unit is broken.

7.14. Restore to Factory Settings

If CarPlay, Android Auto, or Mirrorlink connections are abnormal, you can restore factory settings: Go to "Basic Settings" > "Restore Factory" > Select "YES". If there's a reset button on the panel, you can also press it to restore settings.

8. User Tips

  • CarPlay/Android Auto Connectivity: While the manual details both wired and wireless connections, some users might wonder about specific Bluetooth-only CarPlay/Android Auto. The unit supports both wired and wireless connections, with wireless functionality often leveraging both Bluetooth for initial pairing and Wi-Fi for data transfer. Ensure both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone for the best wireless experience.
  • Screen Protection: Consider adding a screen protector to the IPS touchscreen to prevent scratches and smudges, maintaining optimal display clarity.
  • Regular Updates: Keep an eye on the manufacturer's website or support channels for any firmware updates, which might improve performance or add new features.
