2. Setup Guide

2.1 Battery Installation

Locate the battery compartment on the back of the cordless handset.
Open the battery compartment cover.
Insert the two supplied AAA rechargeable batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2.2 Base Unit Connection

Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the LINE port on the base unit.
Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to your telephone wall jack.
Plug the power adapter into the DC IN port on the base unit.
Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
Place the handset on the base unit to charge the batteries. The handset LCD will indicate charging status.

2.3 Handset Registration (for additional handsets)

The primary handset is usually pre-registered. If you are adding additional handsets (up to a maximum of 5 per base unit), follow these steps:

Ensure the new handset has charged batteries.
On the base unit, press and hold the registration button (refer to base unit diagram for exact location) until the registration indicator light flashes.
On the handset, navigate to the 'Registration' menu option (consult the handset menu for specific steps).
Enter the PIN code (default is usually 0000 or 1234, check the manual for your specific model).
The handset will display a confirmation message upon successful registration.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic Call Functions

Making a Call: Enter the phone number using the keypad. Press the green call button to dial.
Answering a Call: When the phone rings, press the green call button.
Ending a Call: Press the red end call button or place the handset back on the base/charger.
Redial: Press the Redial button to call the last dialed number.
Pre-dial and Edit: Enter numbers before pressing the call button. Use navigation keys to edit.
Pause Function: Use the pause button during dialing for specific phone system requirements.
Hands-free Calls: Activate speakerphone mode during a call by pressing the speaker button.

Phonebook: The phone can store up to 50 phone book entries, each with a maximum of 12 characters for the name and 20 digits for the number.

3.3 Intercom and Conference Calls

Intercom: Make internal calls between two registered handsets.
Call Transfer: Transfer an external call from one handset to another.

3.4 Answering Machine (TAM) Functions

The base unit features a digital answering machine with a maximum recording time of 60 minutes.

LED Display: The base unit has a two-digit LED display to indicate the number of new messages.
Message Playback/Recording: The base can play and record messages.
Outgoing Message (OGM): You can record 2 groups of personalized outgoing messages.
