This manual provides detailed instructions on how to set up, operate, and maintain your controller to ensure optimal performance and an enhanced gaming experience. The K20 TMR controller features precision-tuned TMR joysticks, Hall Effect triggers, RGB lighting, and multi-platform compatibility.

3. Controller Overview

Familiarize yourself with the buttons and features of your Aolion K20 TMR controller:

  • Top Buttons: HOME, VIEW, MENU, ABXY buttons, Screenshot button, Left/Right rockers, Aisle Light.
  • Front/Bottom Buttons & Ports: USB-C port, RB/LB (Right/Left Bumper), RT/LT (Right/Left Trigger), Trigger Gear Shift, Platform Switch, Reset hole, M1/M2 (Programmable Back Buttons), Charging PINs.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Controller

The controller is equipped with a 1000mAh Lithium Battery. Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the controller.

  1. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the USB-C port on the controller or place the controller on the charging dock.
  2. Connect the other end of the charging cable to a USB power source (e.g., PC, USB wall adapter).
  3. The RGB lights on the controller will indicate charging status. Refer to the full user manual (PDF) for specific light indicators.

4.2 Initial Connection

The Aolion K20 TMR controller supports multiple connection methods: 2.4G wireless, Bluetooth, and wired connection. Use the platform switch located on the back of the controller to select the desired mode (NS for Nintendo Switch, AN for Android, IOS for iOS, PC for PC).

4.2.1 2.4G Wireless Connection (PC/Other compatible devices)

  1. Set the platform switch on the back of the controller to 'PC' or 'AN' (depending on the device).
  2. Insert the 2.4G receiver into an available USB port on your PC or device. The receiver can also be installed at the back of the charging base for convenience.
  3. Turn on the controller. It should automatically pair with the receiver. The controller's indicator light will stabilize once connected.

4.2.2 Bluetooth Connection (Switch, Android, iOS, PC)

  1. Set the platform switch on the back of the controller to 'NS', 'AN', 'IOS', or 'PC' as appropriate.
  2. Turn on the controller.
  3. On your device (Switch, Android phone, iPhone, PC), go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
  4. Select "Aolion K20 TMR" (or similar name) from the list of available devices to pair.
  5. The controller's indicator light will stabilize once connected.

4.2.3 Wired Connection (PC/Switch)

  1. Set the platform switch on the back of the controller to 'PC' or 'NS'.
  2. Connect the Type-C charging cable to the controller's USB-C port and the other end to your PC or Switch dock.
  3. The controller will be recognized as a wired gamepad.

4.3 Smart Charging Base

The included charging base not only charges your controller but also offers HUB expansion and adjustable RGB lighting. The 2.4G receiver can be conveniently stored and connected via the base.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Controls

Refer to the Controller Overview section (Figure 3) for the location of all buttons and joysticks. The TMR joysticks offer ultra-precise movement with a 1000Hz polling rate and 1ms response time.

5.2 Advanced Features

5.2.1 One-Key Wake-Up (Switch Console)

When connected to a Nintendo Switch, press the HOME button to instantly wake up the console from sleep mode.

5.2.2 ABXY Key Value Swap

The controller supports ABXY key value swap to adapt to native layouts of different consoles. Refer to the full user manual (PDF) for specific button combinations to perform this swap.

5.2.3 Asymmetric Motor & Vibration Settings

The controller features an asymmetric motor with three-level vibration for an immersive experience. Vibration intensity can be adjusted via the custom APP.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To keep your controller in optimal condition:

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the controller.
  • For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the controller's finish.

6.2 Battery Care

The controller uses a built-in 1000mAh Lithium Battery. To prolong battery life:

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Controller Not Connecting

  • Check Platform Switch: Ensure the platform switch on the back of the controller is set to the correct mode (NS, AN, IOS, PC) for your device.
