5. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your AVATTO GW16 Smart Gateway Hub:
- Prepare your Wi-Fi Network: Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The gateway does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi. Position the gateway within effective coverage of your Wi-Fi network.
- Power On and Enter Pairing Mode:
- Connect the gateway to the power supply using the provided USB power cord.
- Press and hold the 'Reset' button for 5 seconds.
- Confirm that the indicator light is blinking alternately between white and blue colors. This indicates the gateway is in pairing mode.

- Download the App: Download and open either the 'AVATTO' app or 'Smart Life' app from your application store. Alternatively, scan the QR code on the outer packaging or instructions to download and install the app.
- Add Device in App:
- Open the 'AVATTO' or 'Smart Life' app and click 'Add Device'.
- The app should automatically detect the gateway. Click 'Add' when prompted with "found equipment to be added: 1".
- Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password, then click 'Next'.
- Wait patiently for the device to be added.
- Once successfully added, the multi-mode gateway will appear in your device list.
