3. Setup
Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of the laser power supply. Ensure all connections are secure and follow local electrical codes.
3.1 Electrical Connections
Refer to the port connection diagram below for detailed wiring instructions. Ensure the correct voltage (110V or 220V) is selected based on your regional power supply and laser tube requirements.
Figure 3: Port connection diagram for the ZYE MYJG Laser Power Supply.
- High Voltage Output: Connect to the anode of the CO2 laser tube.
- 110V/220V (optional) L N: Connect to your main AC power supply. Ensure the correct voltage setting is used.
- FG AC AC: Ground and AC input connections.
- TEST: Button for manual laser firing (use with caution).
- TL: Laser Signal Input.
- WP: Water Protection input.
- RJ45: Ethernet port for control (if applicable).
- Output Power 5V: Provides 5V power for external components.
- Input Control Signal (0-5V): Analog input for laser power control.
- Signal Ground: Common ground for control signals.
- Water Protection: Input for water flow sensor to prevent laser tube damage.
- Switch Laser Control (Active low/Active High): Inputs for controlling laser firing via external switches.
3.2 Cooling System
Connect a suitable water cooling system to your CO2 laser tube. The water protection input (WP) on the power supply should be connected to the water flow sensor to ensure the laser tube is adequately cooled during operation. The power supply will prevent laser firing if insufficient water flow is detected.
4. Operating Instructions
Once the power supply is correctly installed and connected to the laser tube and cooling system, you can proceed with operation.
4.1 Power On
- Ensure all connections are secure and the laser tube is properly cooled.
- Turn on the main power switch to the laser machine.
- The power supply will initialize.
4.2 Laser Firing
The laser can be fired via the control signal input or the test button.
- Via Control Signal: Use your laser machine's control software to send the appropriate signal (0-5V) to the 'Input Control Signal' port to control laser power and firing.
- Using the Test Button: For testing purposes, you can momentarily press the 'TEST' button on the power supply. Caution: This will fire the laser at full power. Ensure all safety precautions are in place, including wearing appropriate laser safety eyewear, and that the laser path is clear of obstructions and personnel.

4.3 Power Off
When finished operating, turn off the laser machine's main power switch. Allow the cooling system to run for a few minutes after laser operation to ensure the laser tube cools down completely before shutting off the cooler.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your laser power supply.
- Keep Clean: Periodically clean the exterior of the power supply to prevent dust accumulation, especially around ventilation grilles. Use a soft, dry cloth.
- Ensure Ventilation: Ensure the power supply has adequate airflow around it. Do not block the ventilation openings.
- Check Connections: Regularly inspect all electrical connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion.
- Cooling System: Maintain your laser tube's water cooling system according to its manufacturer's instructions. Ensure the water is clean and at the correct temperature.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ZYE MYJG-H150 laser power supply, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Laser Output:
- Check all power connections to the power supply and laser tube.
- Verify the water cooling system is functioning correctly and the water protection (WP) signal is active.
- Ensure the control signal from your laser machine is being sent correctly.
- Test the laser using the 'TEST' button (with extreme caution and safety measures). If it fires, the issue might be with the control signal or laser machine.
- Power Supply Overheating:
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the power supply. Clear any obstructions from the fan and vents.
- Check the ambient temperature of the operating environment.
- Unstable Laser Output:
- Verify stable input voltage to the power supply.
- Check the integrity of the laser tube and its connections.
If problems persist after these steps, contact technical support.
