Maintenance

1. Memory Card Management

  • Regularly format your Micro SD card (Class 10, 16GB-256GB recommended) to ensure optimal performance and prevent recording issues.
  • Do not remove or insert the memory card while the device is powered on.

2. Cleaning

Ensure the camera lenses are clean and free from obstructions for clear recording. Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the lenses.

3. Environmental Conditions

Avoid leaving the dash cam in direct sunlight or extremely high temperatures. The operating temperature range is -20°C (-4°F) to 60°C (140°F).

Troubleshooting

  • Wi-Fi Connection Issues: If you cannot connect to Wi-Fi, ensure your phone's Wi-Fi is on and you have entered the correct password (default: 12345678). If issues persist, try restarting the dash cam by clicking the button.
  • App Functionality Problems: Ensure you have granted all necessary system permissions to the Viidure app. If not, clear the app data in your phone settings and re-grant permissions.
  • Memory Card Errors: If the memory card is abnormal, format it via the app settings or replace it with a new Class 10 Micro SD card.
  • General Malfunctions: Try performing a factory reset (press button for 8 seconds). If the problem persists, contact customer support.
  • 24V Power Supply: The DVR is compatible only with 12V power supplies. Using a 24V supply will damage the motherboard. If you need to use 24V, you must add a 24V to 12V converter (Buck Line).
  • Video Recording Issues: Ensure you are using a high-quality Class 10 TF card. Low-quality or low-speed cards may prevent normal operation.
  • Rear Camera Not Working: Only original E-ACE rear cameras are guaranteed to work well with this dash cam due to chipset and sensor differences.
  • GPS Signal Problems: Factors like other signal interference in the car, severe weather (rainstorm, snowstorm), tunnels, or remote mountainous areas with weak signals can affect GPS performance.

User Tips

  • Always format your memory card before first use and periodically to maintain optimal recording performance.
  • For 24-hour parking monitoring, ensure you have the optional buck line installed and configured correctly.
  • To quickly access and share your footage, utilize the 5.8GHz Wi-Fi and Viidure app for fast video downloads.
  • Adjust the G-sensor sensitivity to an appropriate level to avoid unnecessary event locking while ensuring critical incidents are captured.
