3. Device Overview

3.1. Buttons and Ports

4. Initial Setup
4.1. Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge your SWOFY D08 player.
- Use the provided USB Type-C charging cable and a 5V/1A wall adapter or connect to a computer's USB port.
- New batteries require several charge and discharge cycles to reach optimal performance.
- If the device will not be used for an extended period, charge and discharge it at least once a month to prevent battery damage.
4.2. Power On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the Power button (No. 4) until the screen lights up.
- To power off, press and hold the Power button (No. 4) and select "Power off" from the options.
- A short press of the Power button will turn the screen on or off.
4.3. Wi-Fi Connection
To connect to a Wi-Fi network:
- Turn on WLAN in Settings, or swipe down from the status bar to open the notification panel and enable Wi-Fi.
- Tap on the desired Wi-Fi network.
- If the network is encrypted, enter the password to connect.
4.4. Bluetooth Pairing
To pair with Bluetooth devices:
- Turn on Bluetooth in Settings. The device will automatically search for available Bluetooth devices.
- Select your desired Bluetooth device from the list to initiate pairing.
- Once paired, you can connect to Bluetooth headphones, home speakers, or car systems.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Gesture Operations
- Long press: Press and hold icons for 2 seconds to access options. Long press a blank area on the main screen to enter editing mode.
- Slide: Swipe your finger across the screen to navigate.
- Drag: Long press an icon and drag it to a new position.
5.2. Basic Navigation
- Return button (No. 10): Press once to go back to the previous menu.
- Home button (No. 11): Press once to return to the previous menu, twice to go to the home menu, and long press to view background programs.
5.3. Apps & Notifications
Access recently opened applications. Tap on an app to uninstall or force stop it. Manage notifications and app permissions within this section.
5.4. Display Settings
Customize your display preferences:
- Brightness level: Adjust screen brightness.
- Night light: Schedule night light mode and adjust intensity.
- Simulate color space: Options include Disabled, Monochromacy.
- Wallpaper: Select from Gallery, Live Wallpapers, or other wallpaper options.
- Sleep: Set inactivity timeout (15s, 30s, 1min, 2min, 5min, 10min, 30min) before the screen turns off.
- Auto-rotate screen: Enable or disable automatic screen rotation.
- Font size: Adjust text size (Small, Default, Large, Largest).
- Display size: Adjust display element size (Small, Default, Large).
5.5. Sound Settings
Adjust various audio settings:
- Set Media volume, Notification volume, Alarm volume, and default alarm sound.
- Enable/disable Screen locking sound, Charging sound, Touch sounds, and Sound enhancement.
5.6. Storage Management
View available and total internal storage and SD card space. Monitor storage usage by individual applications.

5.7. Security Settings
Configure device security:
- Screen lock: Set a screen lock using Swipe, Pattern, PIN, or Password. (Warning: Remember your password/PIN; otherwise, you may lose access to the device).
- Passwords: Choose to make passwords visible or not.
- Encryption & Credential: Manage storage type, trusted credentials, user credentials, and install from SD card.
5.8. Auto Shutdown & Scheduled Power
- Auto Shutdown: Set the device to never shut down automatically, or choose a timeout of 5/10/15/20/30 minutes.
- Schedule power on/off: Set specific times for the device to power on or off automatically.
5.9. System Settings
- Language & input: Set device language and input method.
- Keyboard & input methods: Select Android keyboard and preferred input language.
- Date & Time: Set the device's date and time.
- Reset options: Erase all data and reset to factory settings. (Note: Back up all important files before performing a factory reset).

7. Maintenance
7.1. Battery Care
- To maintain optimal battery health, ensure new batteries undergo several charge and discharge cycles.
- If the device is stored for a long time, charge and discharge it at least once a month to prevent battery damage from over-consumption.
7.2. SD Card Maintenance
- If your microSD card is not recognized, try formatting it directly on the device.
8. Troubleshooting
- APK Installation Issues: If a downloaded APK cannot be installed, try using a lower version of the APK.
- Device Crashes/Freezes: If the device crashes or freezes, perform a reset or restore factory settings. Important: Back up all your files before a factory reset, as they will be lost.
- SD Card Not Recognized: Attempt to format the SD card on the device. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
- Battery Charging Issues: If the battery is not charging or the player won't turn on, drain the remaining power completely, then follow the charging instructions (use 5V/1A adapter and provided USB-C cable).
- Forgot Password: If you forget your device password, enter the universal password "1235789" to unlock the player.
- Screenshot: To take a screenshot, press and hold the "Power button" and "Volume -" button simultaneously.
9. Safety Warnings
- Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures (below -10°C or above 50°C) for prolonged periods. Extreme temperatures can deform the device and shorten its service life.
- Do not use the equipment during thunderstorms.
