5. Setup
5.1. Wiring Instructions
IMPORTANT: Ensure power is OFF before wiring.
- Connect the live wire to the 'L' pole and the neutral wire to the 'N' pole on the upper end of the circuit breaker (Power Input).
- Connect the load output (appliance) to the 'L' and 'N' poles on the bottom end of the circuit breaker (Load Output).
- Ensure all wiring is correct and connections are secure. A strong WiFi signal is recommended for WiFi models.
5.2. App Installation & Pairing
To utilize smart features, download the Smart Life or TUYA app from your mobile app store.
- Connect to 2.4GHz Network: Ensure your mobile phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Open App & Add Device: Open the Smart Life/TUYA app. Tap 'Add Device' or the '+' icon in the upper right corner.
- Enter Pairing Mode: Simultaneously press and hold the product switch button for 5-10 seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue slowly.
- Discover Device: The app will search for and discover the device.
- Enter Wi-Fi Information: Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Connection Confirmation: After successful connection, the LED indicator will change from blue slow flashing to a blue steady light.
5.3. ZigBee Gateway Connection (GWS10-ZJ only)
The GWS10-ZJ ZigBee model requires a compatible ZigBee hub/gateway for remote control and smart features. Connect the device to your ZigBee gateway according to the gateway's instructions.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Manual Control
Press the physical button on the circuit breaker to manually turn the connected load ON or OFF.
6.2. App Control
Once paired, you can control the device via the Smart Life/TUYA app:
- Remote ON/OFF: Tap the switch icon in the app to turn the load on or off from anywhere.
- Metering Function (GWS10-WJ, GWS10-ZJ): View real-time temperature, electricity consumption (kWh), voltage (V), and current (A) directly in the app.
- Timing Modes: Set up various timing functions:
- Timing Mode: Schedule specific ON/OFF times.
- Countdown Mode: Set a countdown timer for the device to turn off.
- Loop Timing: Configure repetitive ON/OFF cycles.
- Sunrise/Sunset: Automate based on local sunrise/sunset times.
6.3. Voice Control
Integrate your GWS10 Series device with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa for convenient voice commands. Follow the instructions in your smart assistant's app to link your Smart Life/TUYA account.
7. Alarm Settings
The alarm function will be activated automatically after configuration in the app. You can set thresholds for various parameters:
- High Temperature Alarm: Set scope from 40°C to 100°C.
- Overpower Alarm: Set scope from 1kW to 26kW.
- Overcurrent Alarm: Set scope from 1A to 63A.
- Overvoltage Alarm: Set scope from 220V to 265V.
- Undervoltage Alarm: Set scope from 76V to 240V.
Each alarm can be individually enabled or disabled for tripping.
8. LED Indicator Description
Non-metering Type (GWS10-W1)
- Steady Blue Light: Switch is ON.
- Light Out: Switch is OFF.
- Blue Flashing: Switch is in pairing mode.
Metering Type (GWS10-WJ, GWS10-ZJ)
- Steady Blue Light: Network connection is successful.
- Blue Flashing Slowly: Product is in pairing mode.
- Light Out: Device is off-grid model.
- Button Indicator Light Up: Switch is OFF.
- Button Indicator Light Out: Switch is ON.
