5. Controls and Interfaces

Familiarize yourself with the buttons and ports on your SANSUI U2 speaker:

  1. Electronic Display: Shows current mode, time, or track information.
  2. Number Buttons (0-9): Used for direct track selection in TF/USB mode or frequency input in FM mode.
  3. Timer Button: Activates/sets the scheduled shutdown function.
  4. Mode/Loop Button: Switches between playback modes (Bluetooth, FM, TF, USB, AUX) and toggles loop playback.
  5. Power Switch/Play/Pause/Phone Button: Long press to power on/off. Short press to play/pause music. Press to answer/end calls in Bluetooth mode.
  6. Next Track/Volume+ Button: Short press for next track/FM station. Long press to increase volume.
  7. Previous Track/Volume- Button: Short press for previous track/FM station. Long press to decrease volume.
  8. Delete Button: Deletes recorded files (requires TF card).
  9. Record Button: Initiates one-key recording (requires TF card).

  • DC 5V Port: For charging the speaker using the provided USB cable.

6. Setup

6.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the DC 5V port on the speaker and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator will show the charging status and turn off when fully charged.

6.2 Power On/Off

Long press the Power Switch/Play/Pause/Phone Button to turn the speaker on or off.

6.3 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Turn on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing 'BLUE' on the electronic display.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone or other device.
  3. Search for available Bluetooth devices and select "SANSUI U2" from the list.
  4. Once paired, the speaker will emit a confirmation tone, and 'BLUE' will stop flashing.

6.4 TF Card / USB Playback

Insert a TF card or USB flash drive (with supported audio files: APE, FLAC, WAV, MP3) into the respective slot. The speaker will automatically switch to TF card or USB mode and begin playback.

6.5 AUX Connection

Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, computer) to the AUX port using a 3.5mm audio cable. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Short press the Power Switch/Play/Pause/Phone Button.
  • Next/Previous Track: Short press the Next Track/Volume+ Button or Previous Track/Volume- Button.
  • Volume Adjustment: Long press the Next Track/Volume+ Button to increase volume, or Previous Track/Volume- Button to decrease volume.
  • Mode Switching: Short press the Mode/Loop Button to cycle through Bluetooth, FM, TF, USB, and AUX modes.

7.2 FM Radio Operation

  1. Switch to FM mode using the Mode/Loop Button.
  2. Auto Scan: Long press the Play/Pause Button to automatically scan and save available FM stations.
  3. Manual Tuning: Use the Next Track/Volume+ Button or Previous Track/Volume- Button to manually tune to stations.
  4. Direct Frequency Input: Use the Number Buttons (0-9) to directly enter an FM frequency.

7.3 Recording Function

To use the recording function, ensure a TF card is inserted into the speaker.

  1. Press the Record Button to start recording.
  2. Press the Record Button again to stop recording.
  3. Recorded files are saved to the TF card.
  4. To delete a recording, select the file and press the Delete Button.

7.4 Timed Shutdown

The smart timing system allows you to set a scheduled shutdown time.

  1. Press the Timer Button.
  2. Use the Number Buttons (0-9) to set the desired shutdown duration (e.g., in minutes).
  3. Confirm the setting. The speaker will automatically power off after the set time.

7.5 RGB Colorful Lights

The RGB lights automatically synchronize with the music rhythm, creating a dynamic visual experience. There is no explicit button to control the RGB lights, they are an integrated feature.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the speaker's surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the speaker regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Avoid Water: The speaker is not waterproof. Keep it away from water and moisture.
