1. Product Overview

The SANSUI U2 is a versatile multimedia portable wireless Bluetooth speaker designed for an immersive audio experience. It features Bluetooth 5.3 for stable connections, FM radio, one-click recording, and supports multiple playback modes including USB, TF card, and AUX input. Its compact design and lanyard make it easy to carry, while RGB colorful lights add to the ambiance.

3. Device Layout and Controls

Familiarize yourself with the buttons and ports on your SANSUI U2 speaker:

  1. Electronic Display: Shows current mode, battery status, etc.
  2. Number Buttons (0-9): For digital music selection or FM frequency input.
  3. Timer Button (定关): Activates/sets scheduled shutdown.
  4. Power Switch / Play/Pause / Phone Button (▶||): Power on/off, play/pause music, answer/end calls.
  5. Mode/Loop Button (模式): Switches between playback modes (Bluetooth, FM, TF, USB, AUX) and toggles loop playback.
  6. Next Track / Volume+ Button (V+ ▶▶|): Next track, increase volume.
  7. Previous Track / Volume- Button (V- |◀◀): Previous track, decrease volume.
  8. Delete Button (删除): Deletes recorded files.
  9. Record Button (录音): Initiates or stops recording.

    • DC 5V: Charging port.
    • AUX: 3.5mm audio input.
    • USB: USB disk input.
    • Headphone Jack: 3.5mm headphone output.
    • TF: TF (MicroSD) card slot.

4. Setup and First Use

4.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the DC 5V port on the speaker and the other end to a USB power adapter (DC 5V 1A recommended) or a computer's USB port. The electronic display will indicate charging status.

4.2 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power Switch button (▶||) for a few seconds until the display lights up.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power Switch button (▶||) again for a few seconds.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Mode Selection

Press the Mode/Loop button (模式) repeatedly to cycle through the available playback modes: Bluetooth, FM Radio, TF Card, USB Disk, and AUX Input.

5.2 Bluetooth Mode

  1. Switch the speaker to Bluetooth mode. The display will show "BLUE" and a pairing indicator.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone or other device.
  3. Search for "SANSUI U2" in the list of available devices and select it to pair.
  4. Once paired, you can play audio from your device through the speaker.
  5. Use the Play/Pause button (▶||) to control playback.
  6. Use the Previous Track (V- |◀◀) and Next Track (V+ ▶▶|) buttons to skip tracks.
  7. Adjust volume using the Volume- (V- |◀◀) and Volume+ (V+ ▶▶|) buttons.

5.3 FM Radio Mode

  1. Switch the speaker to FM Radio mode.
  2. Automatic Scan: Press and hold the Play/Pause button (▶||) to automatically scan and save available FM stations.
  3. Manual Tuning: Use the Number Buttons (0-9) to directly input a frequency.
  4. Switch Stations: Use the Previous Track (V- |◀◀) and Next Track (V+ ▶▶|) buttons to navigate through saved stations or fine-tune frequency.

5.4 TF Card / USB Disk Playback

The speaker supports APE, FLAC, WAV, and MP3 audio formats.

  1. Insert a TF card into the TF slot or a USB disk into the USB port.
  2. Switch the speaker to TF Card or USB Disk mode. The speaker will automatically detect and play audio files.
  3. Use the Play/Pause button (▶||) to control playback.
  4. Use the Previous Track (V- |◀◀) and Next Track (V+ ▶▶|) buttons to skip tracks.
  5. Use the Number Buttons (0-9) for digital music selection (e.g., press '1' for the first song, '2' for the second, etc.).

5.5 AUX Input Mode

  1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, computer) to the AUX port using a 3.5mm audio cable.
  2. Switch the speaker to AUX Input mode.
  3. Audio will be played from your connected device. Control playback and volume from the external device.

5.6 Recording Function

The speaker has a built-in recording module. Ensure a TF card or USB disk is inserted to save recordings.

  1. Press the Record button (录音) to start recording.
  2. Press the Record button (录音) again to stop and save the recording.
  3. To delete a recording, select the recording file and press the Delete button (删除).

5.7 Scheduled Shutdown (Timer)

Use the Timer button (定关) to set a scheduled shutdown time, which can be useful for nighttime listening.

  • Press the Timer button (定关) to activate the scheduled shutdown feature.
  • Repeatedly press the button to cycle through preset shutdown times (e.g., 15 min, 30 min, 60 min, OFF).
  • The display will show the selected shutdown time.

5.8 RGB Colorful Lights

The speaker features RGB colorful lights that synchronize with the music, creating a party atmosphere. There is no explicit button for light control; they typically activate automatically with music playback.

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the speaker's surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the speaker regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Water Resistance: This speaker is NOT waterproof. Avoid exposure to water or excessive moisture.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 No Power

  • Ensure the speaker is charged. Connect it to a power source and check if the charging indicator appears.
  • Press and hold the Power Switch button (▶||) for a few seconds to ensure it's powered on.

7.2 No Sound

  • Check the speaker's volume level and increase it if necessary.
  • Ensure the connected audio source (phone, TF card, USB) is playing and its volume is up.
  • If in Bluetooth mode, ensure the speaker is properly paired and connected to your device.
  • If using AUX, ensure the cable is fully inserted and functional.

7.3 Bluetooth Pairing Issues

  • Ensure the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode (display shows "BLUE" and indicator blinking).
  • Make sure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and within the 10m wireless range.
  • Forget "SANSUI U2" from your device's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
  • Turn off and on both the speaker and your device.

7.4 FM Radio Reception is Poor

  • Move the speaker to a location with better signal reception.
  • The charging cable can sometimes act as an antenna; try connecting it to improve reception.

7.5 Recording Not Working

  • Ensure a TF card or USB disk is properly inserted and has sufficient free space.
  • Check if the storage device is formatted correctly (FAT32 is commonly supported).
