4. Setup
4.1 Powering the Device
Connect the EL15 to a 5V 2A power source using the provided USB Type-C cable. The power input port is located on the rear of the device.
4.2 Connecting the Load
Connect the device under test (DUT) to the EL15 using the 4mm Banana Plug Sockets. For higher precision, especially with longer cables or higher currents, utilize the XT30 Remote Compensation Input Port.
4.3 Measurement Wiring
The EL15 supports both local and remote measurement configurations:
- Local Measurement: Suitable for quick measurements. Only two load wires (positive and negative) are connected between the electronic load and the source under test.
- Remote Measurement: Suitable for high-precision measurements. Four wires are connected: two load wires (positive and negative) for current transmission, and two remote compensation wires (connected to the XT30 male connector) for detecting the actual output voltage of the source under test.
Note: When switching between remote measurement and local measurement, you need to select the corresponding option in the system settings.

5. Operating Instructions
The EL15 offers various measurement modes to meet diverse testing needs.
5.1 Basic Measurement Modes
These modes allow for fundamental load testing:
- Constant Current Mode (CC): The load draws a constant current (I-Set) regardless of input voltage changes.
- Constant Voltage Mode (CV): The load maintains the input voltage at a constant value (V-Set) by drawing current.
- Constant Resistance Mode (CR): The load acts as a constant resistor, dynamically adjusting the load current according to the input voltage (R-Set).
- Constant Power Mode (CP): The load dynamically adjusts the current to consume constant power (P-Set).

5.2 Advanced Measurement Modes
For more complex testing scenarios:
- List Test (LIST): Stores up to 10 sets of current and duration parameters to perform complex testing under multiple conditions. Useful for dynamic performance testing and automated verification.
- Scan Test (SCAN): Allows dynamic response performance testing by setting low current, high current, and rise/fall time.

5.3 Power Supply Measurement Modes
Evaluate power supply characteristics:
- Dynamic Test (DT): Simulates real-world load changes with alternating current levels to evaluate response speed, efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Automatic Test (AUTO): Provides one-click automation for comprehensive metrics from rated power and voltage to maximum current, power, and load regulation.

5.4 Battery Measurement Modes
For battery evaluation and testing:
- Capacity Test (CAP): Records discharge time and current under constant-current discharge to determine actual battery capacity. Applicable for battery capacity evaluation, energy storage device testing, battery aging analysis, and product quality inspection.
- DC Internal Resistance Measurement (DCR): Derives internal resistance from voltage change between two pulsed load currents. A key parameter for evaluating power supply characteristics, output performance, and state of health.

5.5 Bluetooth Connectivity
The EL15 supports Bluetooth connectivity with the mobile app "ATK-xTOOL" (available for Android and iOS) for remote control and data monitoring.
- Open the mobile app "ATK-xTOOL".
- Scan for Bluetooth devices and add the EL15.
- Find and connect to the device (e.g., "EL15").
- Once connection is successful, click to enter the operation interface.
- Operate the EL15 from the app interface.

6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ALIENTEK EL15, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cooling System: The EL15 is equipped with 13000RPM dual fans and a dense-tooth radiator for efficient heat dissipation. Ensure the air inlets and outlets are not obstructed during operation. Periodically check for dust accumulation and gently clean if necessary to maintain airflow.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your EL15, consider the following:
- No Power: Ensure the USB Type-C cable is securely connected to a 5V 2A power source.
- Incorrect Readings: Verify all connections are secure. For high-precision measurements, ensure remote compensation wiring is correctly implemented and selected in settings.
- Overheating: Check that the air inlets and outlets are clear and unobstructed. The device has built-in over-temperature protection (OTP) which may shut down the unit if it gets too hot.
- Device Shutdown: The EL15 features comprehensive six-fold protection mechanisms. If the device unexpectedly shuts down, check for the following conditions:

- Overcurrent Protection (OCP): Triggered if the current exceeds the set limit.
- Overvoltage Protection (OVP): Triggered if the input voltage exceeds the safe limit.
- Overpower Protection (OPP): Triggered if the power consumption exceeds the maximum rated power.
- Undervoltage Protection (UVP): Triggered if the input voltage drops below a safe threshold.
- Over-temperature Protection (OTP): Triggered if the internal temperature becomes too high.
- Reverse Polarity Protection (RPP): Protects the device from damage due to incorrect polarity connection.
If the issue persists, please contact customer support.
