4.2 Measurement Connections
The EL15 supports both local and remote measurement configurations. Ensure the correct wiring method is used for your testing scenario.

- Local Measurement: Suitable for quick measurement scenarios. Only two load wires (positive and negative) need to be connected between the electronic load and the source under test.
- Remote Measurement: Suitable for high-precision measurement scenarios. Four wires need to be connected between the electronic load and the source under test: two load wires (positive and negative) for current transmission, and two remote compensation wires (connected to the XT30 male connector) for detecting the actual output voltage of the source under test.
Note: When switching between remote measurement and local measurement, you need to select the corresponding option in the system settings.
4.3 Bluetooth Connection
The EL15 features Bluetooth connectivity for control via a mobile app named "ATK-xTOOL", supporting both Android and iOS devices.

- Open the mobile app "ATK-xTOOL".
- Scan for Bluetooth devices and add the EL15.
- Find and connect to the device (e.g., "EL15_F").
- Once connection is successful, click to enter the EL15 interface.
- Operate the EL15 through the app interface.
5. Operating Modes
The EL15 offers a variety of measurement modes to suit different testing needs.

5.1 Basic Measurement Modes

- Constant Current Mode (CC): The load will draw current at the set value, regardless of input voltage changes.
- Constant Voltage Mode (CV): The load maintains the input voltage at a constant value by drawing current.
- Constant Resistance Mode (CR): The load is equivalent to a constant resistor, dynamically adjusting the load current according to the input voltage.
- Constant Power Mode (CP): Dynamically adjusts the load current according to the input voltage to make the load consume constant power.
5.2 Battery Measurement Mode

- Capacity Test (CAP): Records discharge time and current through constant-current discharge to evaluate battery capacity, energy storage device evaluation, energy storage device testing, battery aging analysis, and product quality inspection.
- DC Internal Resistance Measurement (DCR): Measures the internal resistance derived from the voltage change between two passes of load current, a key parameter for evaluating power supply characteristics, output performance, and state of health.
5.3 Advanced Measurement Modes

- List Test (LIST): Stores up to 10 sets of current and duration parameters to perform complex testing under multiple conditions. Typical uses include dynamic performance testing, automated verification, and quality control.
- Scan Test (SCAN): By setting low current, high current, and rise/fall time, dynamic response performance testing of the device under test can be realized.
5.4 Power Supply Measurement Mode

- Dynamic Test (DT): Dynamically tests with alternating current levels, simulating real-world load changes to evaluate the power supply's response speed, efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Automatic Test (AUTO): Streamlines testing with one-click automation. After configuring initial rated termination and step currents, the system provides a comprehensive suite of metrics—from rated power and voltage to maximum current, power, and load regulation.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from all power sources and loads before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the device.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the casing or screen.
- Keep the radiator air inlets and outlets clear of dust and debris to ensure proper airflow and cooling.
6.2 Storage
- Store the EL15 in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
- Keep the device in its original packaging or a protective case when not in use to prevent physical damage.
- Avoid storing in environments with excessive dust or corrosive gases.
7. Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter with your ALIENTEK EL15.
7.1 General Issues
- Device does not power on: Ensure the USB Type-C cable is securely connected to a 5V 2A power source and the device. Try a different USB cable or power adapter.
- Display is blank or unresponsive: Check power connection. If powered, try restarting the device.
- Incorrect readings: Verify all measurement connections are secure and correctly wired for local or remote measurement. Ensure the correct measurement mode is selected.
- Bluetooth connection issues: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and the EL15. Ensure the "ATK-xTOOL" app is up to date. Try restarting both the EL15 and your mobile device.
7.2 Protection Features
The EL15 is equipped with six-fold protection to ensure safe operation:

- Overcurrent Protection (OCP): Prevents damage from excessive current.
- Overvoltage Protection (OVP): Protects against input voltages exceeding safe limits.
- Overpower Protection (OPP): Safeguards the device from exceeding its maximum power rating.
- Undervoltage Protection (UVP): Prevents operation below a safe minimum voltage.
- Over-temperature Protection (OTP): Shuts down the device if internal temperature becomes too high.
- Reverse Polarity Protection (RPP): Protects against damage from incorrect polarity connections.
If any protection is triggered, the device may shut down or display an error. Address the underlying issue (e.g., reduce load, correct wiring) before resuming operation.
