2. Setup
2.1 Unboxing
Upon receiving your ANENG GN302 Anemometer, carefully open the packaging. The box should contain the anemometer unit and a user manual.

2.2 Battery Installation
The ANENG GN302 requires two AAA batteries (not included in shipment) for operation. Follow these steps to install the batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the anemometer.
- Use a screwdriver to remove the screw securing the battery compartment cover.
- Carefully remove the cover.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Device Layout and Controls

3.2 Power On/Off and Backlight
- Power On/Off: Long press the power button (labeled 'BL' or power symbol) to turn the device on or off.
- Backlight: Long press the power button to turn on the screen backlight.
3.3 Wind Speed Measurement
- Power on the device.
- Point the impeller towards the wind source.
- The wind speed will be displayed on the LCD screen.
- Unit Selection: In wind speed mode, short press the 'UNIT' button to switch between different wind speed units: knots, km/h, mil/h, m/s, ft/s, ft/m.

3.4 Air Volume Measurement
- Power on the device.
- Press the 'VEL FLOW/AREA' button briefly to switch between FLOW and VEL modes.
- To measure air volume, you must first set the cross-sectional area of the air duct. Long press the 'VEL FLOW/AREA' button to enter the section setting mode.
- Adjust the value as needed.
- After setting the value and exiting, the air volume can be measured.
- Unit Selection: In air volume mode, short press the 'UNIT' button to switch between air volume units: CMM, CFM, CMS.
3.5 Temperature and Humidity Measurement
The device automatically measures and displays ambient temperature and humidity. These readings are shown on the LCD screen alongside wind speed or air volume measurements.

3.6 Data Hold and Max/Min Values
- Data Hold: Press the 'HOLD MAX/MIN' button briefly to open/close data holding, which locks the current display reading.
- Max/Min Values: Long press the 'HOLD MAX/MIN' button to switch between displaying the maximum (MAX) and minimum (MIN) measured values.
3.7 Automatic Shutdown
The device features a 15-minute automatic shutdown function to conserve battery life. This function can be canceled if continuous operation is required (refer to the full manual for details on disabling this feature).
