1. Setup and Installation

1.1 Safety Precautions

CAUTION: Before installing the switch, ensure the main power supply is completely cut off at the circuit breaker to prevent electric shock.

A neutral wire is required for the proper operation of this smart switch.

1.2 Opening the Wall Switch Panel

  • For EU Wall Switch: Rotate clockwise with a screwdriver to open the panel.
  • For US Wall Switch: Rotate clockwise with a screwdriver to open the panel.

1.3 Wiring Diagram

Connect the wires according to the diagram below. Ensure Live Wire (L) and Neutral Wire (N) are correctly identified and connected. L1, L2, L3, L4 correspond to the light channels.

1.4 App Download and Account Registration

Download the 'Smart Life' app by scanning the QR code provided in the product packaging or searching 'Smart Life' in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Register an account using your phone number or email address.

1.5 Connecting the Zigbee Smart Switch to the App

This is a Zigbee device and requires a Zigbee gateway (hub) for connection. Ensure your Zigbee gateway is successfully configured and connected to your home network (2.4GHz WiFi is required).

  1. Prepare the Switch: Long press any button on the smart switch for 5 seconds until the green indicator light rapidly blinks. This indicates pairing mode.
  2. Open the App: Open the 'Smart Life' app.
  3. Add Device: Navigate to your Zigbee gateway within the app and tap 'Add subdevice'.
  4. Search and Connect: The Zigbee gateway will automatically search for nearby Zigbee switches. Once found, follow the on-screen prompts to add the device.
  5. Complete Setup: After successful configuration, tap 'complete'.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Touch Control

The switch features a 2.5D Tempered Glass panel with grooved touch buttons. Simply tap the desired button to turn the connected light on or off.

  • Ensure the smart switch is successfully connected to the 'Smart Life' or 'Tuya' app.
  • Verify that the voice assistant (Alexa, Google Home) is linked to your 'Smart Life' or 'Tuya' account within its respective app.
  • Check that the device name used in voice commands matches the name set in the app.
  • Ensure your voice assistant device (e.g., Echo Dot, Google Home speaker) is powered on and connected to the internet.

4.3 Lights Not Responding

  • Check the physical wiring of the switch to ensure all connections are secure and correct (Live, Neutral, Load).
  • Verify that the light bulbs are working and properly installed.
  • Ensure the switch has power.
