5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation (ANENG A3003)
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the multimeter pen.
- Open the battery cover.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery cover securely.
5.2 Battery Installation (B05 Neon Bulb Indicator)

- Rotate and open the top metal cap of the screwdriver pen.
- Disassemble the internal parts and take out the old batteries and spring in sequence.
- Replace with 3 new LR41 button batteries.
- Put back the spring in sequence and tighten the cap.
- Contact the pen tip and cap, conduct a self-test. The green light should be normal.
Reminder: When loading the button battery, pay attention to the positive electrode of the battery (+) facing down.
5.3 Connecting Test Leads (ANENG A3003)
For most measurements, connect the black test lead to the negative black test lead socket and the red test lead to the positive red test lead end. Ensure connections are firm.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 ANENG A3003 Digital Multimeter Pen
Power On/Off:
- Turn On: Single press the Power button.
- Shut Down: Long press the Power button.
- Automatic Shutdown: In case of no operation, the device will automatically shut down after 15 minutes to save power.
Function Selection:
Press the SELECT button to cycle through different measurement modes (e.g., voltage, resistance, capacitance, continuity).
Measurements:
- DC Voltage Measurement:
Connect the test leads to the DC voltage source. The display will show the voltage reading. For example, a 9V battery will show approximately 9V. - AC Voltage Measurement:
Insert the measuring pen into the hole of the AC voltage source. The display will show the AC voltage reading. Common household AC voltage is typically above 220V. - Resistance Measurement:
Place the test leads at both ends of the component to measure its resistance. The display will show the resistance value. The range is 4kΩ-40MΩ. - Capacitance Measurement:
Place the test leads on the terminals of the capacitor. The display will show the capacitance value. The range is 4nF-4mF. - Hertz (Frequency) Measurement:
When measuring AC voltage, the device can also display the frequency. - On-off Buzzer Detection (Continuity):
Place the test leads at both ends of the wire. If the red LED light is on and there is a buzzer sound, the wire is normal. If there is no response, the wire is disconnected. - Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Induction Detection:
Switch to the 'EF' interface. When AC voltage is detected nearby, the screen will show '---' and the red LED light will flash with an alarm sound. - Zero Fire Detection:
In 'EF' interface, insert the red test lead into the live (fire) line hole of a socket. The screen will display '---' and the red LED will flash with an alarm sound. Insert the black test lead into the zero line hole; the screen will display 'EF' for the zero line. - Data Retention:
Single press the HOLD/* button to freeze the current reading on the display. Press again to release. - Backlit Bright Screen:
Long press the HOLD/* button to turn on/off the backlight.

6.2 B05 Neon Bulb Indicator Electrician Tool
Operating Functions:
- Zero Live Wire Determination:
Touch the top metal cap with your hand. Insert the screwdriver tip into the test socket. If the green light is on, it's the zero line. If both red and green lights are on, it's the fire line. - Voltage Sensing (Non-contact):
Bring the screwdriver tip close to an AC voltage source without direct contact. The green light will turn on when voltage is sensed. - Line Breaking Point Judgment:
Check along the wires by moving the screwdriver tip. Where the green light is on, the line is smooth and good. If the light is not on, it indicates a line disconnection point. - Electrical Switch Detection:
Contact the electric pen tip to the contact rod of a switch. If the inner core of the wire is not damaged, the LED green light will light up. If it is off, the inner core of the wire may have poor contact or be damaged.
