3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station:

  1. Power Connection: Connect the included 120W AC power adapter to the DC IN port on the docking station and then to a power outlet. The LED Work indicator will illuminate white.
  2. Host Connection: Use the provided USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the Thunderbolt 3 port (labeled 'to Host') on the docking station to a Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB4 port on your laptop.

4.1. Display Connectivity

The docking station supports various display configurations:

  • Single Display: Up to 5K resolution via the DisplayPort 1.4.
  • Dual Display (Windows Users): Supports dual 4K @ 60Hz monitors.

Important Notes for Display:

  • Original M1/M2/M3 Macs are limited to a single external display only.
  • For M3 Macs, you can extend to a dual-screen setup when the laptop lid is closed.
  • Not compatible with ASUS laptops equipped with an AMD CPU for dual display.

4.3. Power Delivery and Charging

4.4. SD Card Reader
