5. Setup

5.1 Initial Setup

1. Unboxing: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Protective Films: Remove any protective films from the device screen and body.
3. Charging: Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the radio's charging port and a certified 5V power adapter. Avoid using fast chargers.
4. Antenna Connection: Attach either the telescopic antenna or the red circle (Donut WB) antenna to the SMA-KE antenna jack on the radio.

5.2 V4 Model Upgrades and Considerations

• Improved Shielding: The V4 model includes added shielding to the Si4732 receiver section to suppress electromagnetic interference and ESD protection for the antenna input.
• Enhanced Hi-Z Circuit: The Hi-Z circuit has been repositioned to the front end of the antenna path and utilizes a more stable VCC_RADIO power supply for better signal resonance and reduced noise.
• Headphone as FM Antenna: Wired headphones can be used as an FM antenna. For optimal performance, a strong FM signal environment and a relatively long headphone cable are recommended. (Headphones are not included).
• Audio Improvements: Left and right audio channels have been swapped, and amplifier and speaker parameters have been readjusted for improved sound quality.
• Component Quality: The V4 features a more solid and sturdy telescopic antenna and a better-feeling, non-slip knob cap.
• Casing Material Note: If you choose the CNC metal casing version, be aware that the CNC aluminum alloy material has a certain shielding effect on radio electromagnetic signals. While it improves reception performance, it can also weaken the Wi-Fi signal strength.

6. Operation

6.1 Basic Operation

1. Power On: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the device.
2. Mode Selection: Short press the power button to cycle through different operating modes (FM, AM, LSB, USB).
3. Tuning: Use the rotary knob to tune to desired frequencies.
4. Power Off: Press and hold the power button again for 3 seconds to turn off the device.

6.2 Antenna Usage

The AMNVOLT V4 ATS MINI Radio supports two primary antenna configurations:

• Telescopic Antenna: Provides general reception and is durable.
• Donut WB Antenna (Red Circle Antenna): Supports 360-degree rotation for better reception effect, especially useful for specific frequency ranges (10kHz-180MHz).

6.3 Menu Navigation

The 1.9-inch IPS color screen displays various settings and information. Navigate through menus using the rotary knob and associated buttons (if any) to adjust settings such as brightness, volume, memory save/recall, calibration, and UTC offset.

8. Care and Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
• Storage: When not in use, turn off the device and store it in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
• Antenna Care: Handle antennas with care to prevent bending or breakage.
