6.3 Motion Modes

The ESC can be programmed for multiple motor motion modes, including unidirectional, bidirectional, and brake functions, depending on your application requirements.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SQESC 14130, consider the following:

  • Heat Dissipation: The ESC is equipped with a high-power MOSFET and a metal radiator for effective heat dissipation. Ensure adequate airflow around the ESC, especially during high-current operation, to maintain stable working temperatures.
  • Cleanliness: Keep the ESC free from dust, dirt, and moisture. Regularly inspect for any debris that might impede cooling or cause short circuits.
  • Connections: Periodically check all wiring connections for tightness and integrity. Loose connections can lead to intermittent operation or damage.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the ESC in a dry, cool environment away from direct sunlight.

8. Troubleshooting

The SQESC 14130 incorporates multiple protection features to safeguard the device and your system. If you encounter issues, consider the following:

  • No Motor Response:
    • Check all wiring connections (motor, battery, signal) for proper seating and polarity.
    • Ensure the battery is adequately charged and within the specified voltage range (5-14S Lipo).
    • Verify that the throttle signal protocol is correctly configured (Dshot, PWM, Oneshot, Multishot).
    • Perform throttle calibration using the programming tool.
  • Intermittent Operation or Power Loss:
    • Check for signs of overheating. The ESC has temperature protection; if it's too hot, it may reduce power or shut down. Allow it to cool.
    • Inspect for locked rotor protection activation. Ensure the motor is not obstructed.
    • Verify current protection hasn't been triggered due to excessive load. Reduce load or check for motor issues.
    • Ensure stable power supply from the battery.
  • Incorrect Motor Direction:
    • Adjust motor steering settings using the programming parameter adjustment tool.
  • LEDs Not Functioning as Expected:
    • Check RGB LED color light settings via the programming tool.

If issues persist, consult the official SEQURE website for further support or firmware updates.
