5. Setup

5.1 Charging Station Placement

  1. Place the cleaning station on a hard, level surface against a wall.
  2. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on both sides of the station and 1.5 meters (5 feet) in front of it.
  3. Plug the power adapter into the station and then into a wall outlet.
  4. Ensure the station is in an area with good Wi-Fi coverage.

5.2 Initial Charging

Place the robot vacuum onto the charging station. Ensure the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the station. The robot will automatically begin charging. For first-time use, fully charge the robot before operation (approximately 6 hours).

5.3 Water Tank Preparation

  1. Remove the clean water tank from the station.
  2. Fill the clean water tank with clean tap water. You may add a small amount of non-foaming robot cleaning solution if desired.
  3. Return the clean water tank to its position in the station.
  4. Ensure the dirty water tank is empty before starting a cleaning cycle.

5.4 App Connection

  1. Download the Teendow app from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Create an account and follow the in-app instructions to add your D63S Ultra robot.
  3. The app will guide you through connecting the robot to your home Wi-Fi network. (Note: The robot typically supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. If you have a dual-band router, ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz band during setup).

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Starting a Cleaning Cycle

  • Via Robot: Press the Power/Clean button on the robot once to start a general cleaning cycle.
  • Via App: Open the Teendow app, select your robot, and tap 'Start Cleaning'. You can also select specific rooms or zones.

6.2 Cleaning Modes

The Teendow D63S Ultra supports various cleaning modes, configurable via the app:

  • Vacuum Only: For dry debris collection.

6.4 Self-Emptying

6.5 Stopping a Cleaning Cycle

  • Via Robot: Press the Power/Clean button again to pause. Press and hold to send the robot back to the station.
  • Via App: Tap 'Pause' or 'Return to Station' in the app.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum.

7.1 Cleaning the Dust Bag (Station)

The dust bag in the cleaning station should be replaced when full. The app will usually notify you. Open the dust bag compartment, remove the old bag, and insert a new one.

7.2 Cleaning Water Tanks (Station)

Regularly empty the dirty water tank and rinse it. Clean the clean water tank periodically to prevent buildup. It is recommended to use fresh water for each mopping cycle.

7.3 Cleaning Mop Pads (Robot)

While the station auto-washes the mop pads, it's recommended to remove and hand-wash or machine-wash them periodically for a deeper clean. Replace worn-out mop pads.

7.4 Cleaning Main Brush and Side Brushes (Robot)

Remove the main brush and use the cleaning tool (if provided) to cut and remove tangled hair. Clean the side brushes of any debris. Replace if bristles are damaged.

7.5 Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts (Robot & Station)

Wipe all sensors (cliff, anti-collision) and charging contacts on both the robot and the station with a clean, dry cloth to ensure proper function.

10. User Tips

  • Wi-Fi Connection: If you experience issues connecting to Wi-Fi, ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz signal and your phone is connected to it during the initial setup. Some dual-band routers may require temporary disabling of the 5 GHz band.
  • Voice Prompts: If the robot's voice prompts are not in your desired language, double-check the language settings in the Teendow app. Sometimes, a re-sync or app update might be needed to apply the changes correctly to the robot.
  • Optimal Mopping: For best mopping results, ensure the clean water tank is always filled and the dirty water tank is emptied regularly. Consider using distilled water to minimize mineral buildup.
  • Carpet Cleaning: The robot features Carpet Suction Boost. For heavily soiled carpets, consider running a vacuum-only cycle first before a combined vacuum and mop cycle on hard floors.
