3. Setup and Connection
3.1 Initial Setup
The KW331 tester does not require internal batteries. It powers on automatically when connected to the battery under test.
3.2 Connecting to the Battery
- Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off.
- Connect the red clamp to the battery's positive (+) terminal.
- Connect the black clamp to the battery's negative (-) terminal.
- The device features built-in reverse polarity protection. Incorrect connections will prevent operation, safeguarding both the battery and the tester.

3.3 Language Selection
The device supports 12 languages. To select your preferred language:

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 General Navigation
Use the directional buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) to navigate through menus. Press the OK button to confirm a selection and the ESC button to go back to the previous screen.
4.2 Battery Test
This function assesses the overall health of the battery.
- From the main menu, select 'Battery Test'.
- Choose the vehicle type (Motorcycle/Car/Truck).
- Select the battery location (In-Vehicle/Out-of-Vehicle), battery type (e.g., Regular Flooded, AGM Flat Plate, GEL, EFB, Lithium), and testing standard (e.g., CCA, JIS, EN).
- Set the battery's rated CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) or other relevant rating.
- The tester will display the battery's State of Health (SOH), State of Charge (SOC), CCA value, Voltage (V), and Resistance (R).
- Press 'OK' again to generate a QR code. Scan this QR code with your phone to retrieve a detailed test report.

4.3 Cranking Test
This test evaluates the battery's ability to start the engine.
- From the main menu, select 'Cranking Test'.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to start the engine.
- The tester will display the cranking time, maximum voltage (MAX), minimum voltage (MIN), and a diagnosis (e.g., 'CRANKING LOW').
- Refer to the following guidelines for interpretation:

4.4 Charging Test

- From the main menu, select 'Charging Test'.
- Start the engine and increase the RPM to 2500 r/min. Maintain this RPM for 10 seconds.
- Press 'OK' to continue.
- The tester will display the loaded voltage, unloaded voltage, ripple, and a diagnosis (e.g., 'CHARGING NORMAL').

4.5 Waveform Analysis
The KW331 can perform one-key voltage waveform analysis to help identify issues by comparing real-time voltage data.

5. Maintenance
