Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ACECONN ACEMIX TV Box, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Always disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. For stubborn marks, a lightly damp cloth can be used, but avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation slots on the device are never blocked. Proper airflow is crucial to prevent overheating. Do not place the TV Box on soft surfaces like carpets or bedding, or in enclosed spaces without adequate air circulation.
  • Environment: Keep the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat sources (like radiators or ovens), and excessive humidity. Avoid placing it near sources of electromagnetic interference.
  • Cable Management: Periodically check all connected cables (HDMI, power, antenna, network) to ensure they are securely plugged in and free from damage. Avoid bending cables sharply.
  • Software Updates: Regularly check for and install available software updates (OTA or USB) to benefit from performance improvements, new features, and security patches.

Software Update

1. OTA (Over-The-Air) Update

Open the "Update" application on your TV Box. Select "online update" to check for and install the latest software package. Ensure you have a stable internet connection.

2. Local Update (via USB)

Open the "Update" application. Choose "local update". Insert a USB flash drive containing the upgrade file into a USB port on the TV Box. Ensure the upgrade file is in the root directory of the USB drive. Select the upgrade file and proceed. The system will automatically run the upgrade and restart upon completion.

Note: Do not power off the device during the upgrade process. Only use software provided by ACECONN to avoid system damage.
