4.1. Switching Between Systems
You can freely switch between the original car system and the CarPlay/Android Auto system. Typically, this is done by a long press on the 'Home' button or a dedicated button on your steering wheel or iDrive controller, as indicated in the installation diagram (Figure 4, item 1: 'Switch (Long Press), Home').
4.2. Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto
After the initial pairing, your smartphone will automatically connect to the adapter wirelessly when you start the car.
- Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your smartphone.
- On your car's display, select the CarPlay or Android Auto option from the adapter's interface.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your phone via Bluetooth.
