Maintenance
- Keep the camera dry and away from moisture.
- Clean the camera lens regularly with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear video quality.
- Avoid exposing the camera to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the camera yourself, as this may void the warranty and cause damage.
Troubleshooting
- Q: The camera is not recording to the SD card.
- A: Ensure a MicroSD/TF card is properly inserted. Check the card's format (it should typically be FAT32 or exFAT, depending on capacity) and ensure it's not full. Verify recording settings within the mobile application.
- Q: Can the camera connect directly to a phone without a Wi-Fi modem?
- A: The camera primarily uses Wi-Fi for remote viewing via a modem/router. Some mini cameras may offer a direct AP (Access Point) mode for local connection to a phone, but for full remote functionality, a Wi-Fi network connection is required. Refer to your app's connection guide for specific modes supported.
- Q: The camera is not connecting to Wi-Fi.
- A: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz (5GHz networks are often not supported by these devices). Check that the Wi-Fi password is correct and that the camera is within range of your router. Restart both the camera and your router, then try the connection process again.
- Q: Motion detection alerts are not working.
- A: Check the motion detection settings in the mobile app. Ensure notifications are enabled for the app on your phone and that the camera's motion detection sensitivity is set appropriately.
User Tips
- For continuous recording, ensure the camera is connected to a power source, as the built-in battery provides limited operation time.
- Regularly check the available storage on your MicroSD card to prevent recording interruptions.
- Experiment with different mounting locations using the magnetic base or bracket to find the optimal viewing angle for your surveillance needs.
- Keep your camera's firmware updated through the mobile application for improved performance and security features.
