Setup

1. Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the speaker's charging port and to a compatible DC5V USB power source. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

A full charge provides approximately 8 hours of music playback.

2. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the Power On/Off button located on the speaker's control panel until you hear an audible prompt or see the indicator light illuminate/extinguish.

3. Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in pairing mode (indicator light will flash).
  2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Philips TAS1009" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the speaker will emit a confirmation sound, and the indicator light will become solid.

The speaker uses Bluetooth 5.3 for a stable connection with a transmission distance of up to 10 meters.

4. TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Connection (Optional)

To achieve an immersive stereo sound experience, you can connect two Philips TAS1009 speakers wirelessly to one device.

  1. Ensure both speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
  2. On one speaker, press and hold the TWS pairing button (refer to control panel diagram if available, otherwise assume a specific button or combination).
  3. The speakers will automatically search for and connect to each other. A confirmation sound will indicate successful TWS pairing.
  4. Once TWS paired, connect your device to one of the speakers via Bluetooth as described in "3. Bluetooth Pairing". The connected speaker will act as the primary, and the other as the secondary, forming independent left and right channels.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Controls

The speaker features intuitive touch controls on its top panel:

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button.
  • Play/Pause: Short press the Play/Pause button.
  • Volume Up/Down: Use the '+' and '-' buttons.
  • Next/Previous Track: Use the forward and backward arrow buttons.

2. Hands-Free Calling

The built-in microphone allows for high-definition hands-free calling when connected to your smartphone.

  • Answer Call: Short press the Phone button.
  • End Call: Short press the Phone button during a call.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Phone button when an incoming call rings.

3. Audio Playback

Troubleshooting
