1. Product Overview

The Bikevee BKV-3101GN is a smart multi-functional GPS wireless cycling computer designed to provide comprehensive cycling data. It features a 2.4-inch HD display, IPX7 waterproof rating, and a long-lasting 650mAh battery. With 5-satellite GPS tracking, it ensures stable and accurate data collection for various metrics.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge your Bikevee BKV-3101GN. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the device and a USB power source. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours. Note that the device does not support fast charging.

3.2 Mounting the Bike Computer

The Bikevee BKV-3101GN is designed for easy, wireless installation on your bicycle handlebar. Unlike wired computers that require setting wheel diameter, installing magnets, and checking wires, this GPS computer simplifies the process.

  1. Attach the mount to your bicycle handlebar using the provided rubber pad and rubber rings. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  2. Slide the Bikevee BKV-3101GN onto the mount until it clicks into place.
  3. Once installed, the device will automatically search for satellite signals to begin tracking.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off and Auto Functions

The device automatically powers on when it detects movement after being in sleep mode. It will enter sleep mode automatically six minutes after you stop cycling.

4.2 GPS Positioning

The Bikevee BKV-3101GN utilizes a 5-satellite positioning system (GPS, BDS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS) for high accuracy. The first connection time to satellites may be longer, but subsequent connections will be significantly faster.

4.3 Backlight Control

The backlight automatically turns on when the device wakes from sleep mode. To manually control the backlight:

  • To turn the backlight ON or OFF and keep it on throughout the riding process, press and hold both the left and right keys simultaneously.

4.4 Data Display Modes

The device features three functional data display pages, supporting 17 types of data. Press the right button to switch between these pages.

  • Mode 1: Displays Riding Time, Riding Distance, Gradient, Altitude.
  • Mode 2: Displays Average Speed, Altitude Gain, Average Gradient, Total Riding Time.
  • Mode 3: Displays Maximum Speed, Total Distance, Maximum Gradient, Highest Altitude Point.

4.5 Setting Units (Metric/Imperial)

  1. Press and hold the right button for 2 seconds to enter the settings page.
  2. Press the left button to toggle between metric (KM/H) and imperial (MPH) units.

4.6 Setting Timezone

  1. Press and hold the right button for 2 seconds to enter the settings page.
  2. Navigate to the timezone setting.
  3. Press the left button to adjust the timezone to your local time (e.g., UTC+8:00).

4.7 Clearing Data

  • To clear current cycling data (trip time, trip distance, etc.), press the left and right keys simultaneously for 2 seconds. The screen will flash to confirm.
  • To clear all data, including total mileage, press the left and right keys simultaneously for 6 seconds. The screen will flash to confirm.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

The Bikevee BKV-3101GN has an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning it can withstand rain and splashes. To clean the device, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

5.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Charge it regularly, especially if it will be stored for an extended period. Store the device in a cool, dry place.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device not turning on: Ensure the device is fully charged. If it's been in storage, it might need a longer charge.
  • GPS signal acquisition slow: The first time you use the device or if you've moved a significant distance, GPS lock may take longer. Ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky.
  • Inaccurate data: Ensure the device is securely mounted and has a clear line of sight to the sky for optimal GPS performance. Check that the correct units (metric/imperial) are selected in the settings.
  • Backlight not staying on: Press and hold both the left and right buttons simultaneously to activate the 'backlight always on' feature.
