4.1. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the camera. Connect the USB charging cable to the camera's USB port and plug the other end into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The indicator light will show charging status and turn off or change color when fully charged.
4.2. Insert TF Card
Insert a MicroSD (TF) card (up to 32GB, Class 10 recommended) into the TF card slot with the gold contacts facing down. Ensure it clicks into place. The camera requires a TF card for recording video and storing footage.
4.3. App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection
To utilize the remote monitoring features, download and install the companion mobile application, "Ysx Lite".
- Scan the QR code provided in the included mini-manual or search for "Ysx Lite" in your mobile app store (App Store for iOS, Google Play Store for Android).
- Install the "Ysx Lite" application on your smartphone.
- Power on the camera.
- Open the "Ysx Lite" app and follow the on-screen instructions to add a new device. This typically involves connecting your phone to the camera's temporary Wi-Fi hotspot (usually named something like "BATBXXXXXX") and then configuring the camera to connect to your home/office Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz only).
- Once connected, you can view real-time footage and manage camera settings remotely.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Continuous Video Recording
To start continuous video recording, press the dedicated Video Recording Button (refer to Figure 2). The indicator light will change to confirm recording has started. Press the button again to stop recording. Footage will be saved to the inserted TF card.
5.2. Motion Detection Recording
The camera features intelligent motion detection to save storage space and battery life. When motion is detected, the camera automatically begins recording and can send alerts to your mobile app.
- Press the Motion Detection Button (refer to Figure 2) to activate this mode. The indicator light will confirm activation.
- In standby mode, the camera will automatically enter recording mode when motion is detected.
- If no motion is detected for a period, the camera will return to standby mode.
- Motion detection alerts, often accompanied by snapshots, will be sent to the "Ysx Lite" app on your smartphone.
5.3. Night Vision
The camera is equipped with infrared (IR) night vision for clear recording in low-light or no-light conditions. The IR-CUT feature ensures accurate color representation during the day and enhanced clarity at night.
5.4. Loop Recording
The camera supports loop recording, meaning that when the TF card is full, the oldest video files will be automatically overwritten by new recordings. This ensures continuous operation without manual intervention to clear storage.
5.5. Remote Monitoring
With the "Ysx Lite" app and a stable Wi-Fi connection, you can monitor live video feed from your camera anytime, anywhere. The app also allows you to review recorded footage, adjust settings, and receive alerts.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and body. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the camera regularly, even if not in use, to prevent deep discharge.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the "Ysx Lite" app for any available firmware updates to ensure your camera has the latest features and bug fixes.
- TF Card Management: Regularly back up important footage from your TF card to a computer or cloud storage. Format the TF card periodically (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal recording performance.
