5.2 Wind Speed Measurement
- Ensure the device is powered on.
- Point the fan probe directly into the airflow you wish to measure.
- The wind speed will be displayed on the screen.
- Press the UNIT button to cycle through available wind speed units: m/s, Km/h, ft/s, ft/m, knots, mile/h.
5.3 Air Volume Measurement (CFM/CMM/CMS)
Before measuring air volume, you need to enter the air duct area using the SET button.
- Press the FUNC button until the display shows the air volume measurement mode (CFM, CMM, or CMS).
- Press the SET button to enter the air duct area. Follow the on-screen prompts to input the dimensions.
- Once the area is set, place the fan probe in the airflow. The air volume will be calculated and displayed.
5.4 Wind Power Rating Measurement
- Press the FUNC button until the display shows the wind power rating mode (SCALE).
- The device will display the wind power level on a scale of 0-12.
5.5 Data Retention (HOLD)
During any measurement, press the H button to freeze the current reading on the display. Press H again to release and resume live measurement.
5.6 Max/Min/Average Readings
Press the REC button to access recorded data, including maximum, minimum, and average values of measurements taken. Refer to the on-screen indicators for navigation.
5.7 LED Backlight
The device features an LED night vision backlight for clear readings in low-light conditions. This function is typically automatic or can be toggled via a dedicated button (if available, otherwise it's automatic).
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the device exterior with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure the fan probe is free from dust and debris for accurate readings. Use a soft brush or compressed air if necessary, being careful not to damage the impeller.
6.2 Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace all three AAA batteries promptly to ensure continued accurate operation. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 4.1.
6.3 Storage
Store the anemometer in its protective carrying case when not in use. Keep it in a dry environment with temperatures between -10°C and 50°C and relative humidity less than 80%. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Display/Device Not Turning On: Check if batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
- Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the fan probe is clean and unobstructed. Verify that the correct measurement unit is selected. Avoid strong electromagnetic interference.
- Low Battery Indicator: Replace the AAA batteries as soon as possible.
- Display Freezes: Check if the Data Retention (HOLD) function is active. Press the 'H' button to deactivate it.
