6. Installation
The GWS9-DW is designed for DIN rail mounting within an electrical distribution box.
6.1 Mounting
- Ensure the main power supply is OFF before beginning installation.
- Locate an available slot on your DIN rail.
- Align the device's DIN rail clip with the rail and press firmly until it clicks into place.
6.2 Wiring
Connect the device according to the following steps:
- Connect the incoming live wire to the 'Power 1' terminal.

7. Initial Setup and App Connection
7.1 Power On
After successful installation and wiring, restore power to the circuit. The device display should light up, and the Wi-Fi indicator will begin to flash, indicating it's ready for pairing.
7.2 App Installation
This device is compatible with the Tuya Smart or Smart Life application. Download the app from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store).
7.3 Pairing with App
- Open the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app and register or log in.
- Tap '+' or 'Add Device' in the app.
- Select 'Electrical' > 'Circuit Breaker (Wi-Fi)' or 'Switch (Wi-Fi)'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the device to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. You may need to confirm the Wi-Fi indicator is flashing rapidly. If not, press and hold one of the control buttons on the device for 5-7 seconds until it flashes rapidly to enter pairing mode.
- Once successfully paired, the Wi-Fi indicator on the device will become solid, and the device will appear in your app.
