TATALIKEN 6000W

TATALIKEN 6000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter

User Instruction Manual

1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your TATALIKEN 6000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter. This device is designed to convert 12V or 24V DC power from batteries into 220V AC power, suitable for a wide range of household appliances and electronic devices. It is ideal for use in house solar panel systems, vehicles, and other off-grid applications.

Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper functionality and to prevent damage to the inverter or connected devices.

2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Always ensure that the rated power of the inverter is higher than the total wattage of the appliances you intend to connect.
  • When connecting multiple devices, calculate their combined wattage to avoid overloading the inverter.
  • For inductive loads (e.g., refrigerators, washing machines, drills, air conditioners, water pumps, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners, hair dryers), choose an inverter whose continuous power is 3-7 times higher than the appliance's wattage, as these devices have high starting power.
  • Use only the standard battery cables provided with the inverter. Using incorrect cables may prevent full power output or cause damage. Spare fuses are included for replacement if original ones burn out due to accident.
  • NEVER connect the inverter to grid power. Reverse connection of positive and negative terminals is strictly forbidden and will cause severe damage to the inverter and battery.
  • Do not overload the inverter. Overloading can lead to overheating and damage.
  • The car cigarette lighter port can only support a power output within 100W. For higher power applications, direct battery connection is required.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the inverter to prevent overheating.
  • Keep the inverter away from water, moisture, and flammable materials.

5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your TATALIKEN Pure Sine Wave Inverter:

  1. Placement: Choose a dry, cool, and well-ventilated location for the inverter. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for airflow. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
  2. Battery Connection:
    • Identify the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on your battery.
    • Connect the RED battery cable to the positive (+) terminal of the inverter and the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
    • Connect the BLACK battery cable to the negative (-) terminal of the inverter and the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
    • Ensure all connections are tight and secure to prevent arcing and power loss.
    • WARNING: Double-check polarity before making connections. Reverse polarity will damage the inverter.
  3. Grounding: For safety, ensure the inverter is properly grounded. Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about grounding procedures.
  4. Initial Check: Before connecting any AC appliances, ensure the inverter's power switch is in the 'OFF' position.

6. Operating Instructions

  1. Powering On: After securely connecting the battery cables, switch the inverter's power button to the 'ON' position. The LCD display will illuminate, showing the output voltage (e.g., 220V) and other operational parameters.
  2. Connecting AC Appliances: Plug your 220V AC appliances into the EU socket on the front panel of the inverter.
  3. Monitoring: The Smart LED Display provides real-time information, typically showing the output voltage. Monitor this display to ensure stable operation.
  4. Soft Start Feature: The inverter incorporates a 'Soft Start' feature, which gradually increases the output voltage to prevent sudden surges and protect connected appliances.
  5. Powering Off: Before disconnecting any appliances or the battery, switch the inverter's power button to the 'OFF' position.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Keep the inverter clean and free from dust. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Ventilation: Regularly check that the ventilation openings are not blocked to ensure proper heat dissipation.
  • Connections: Periodically inspect all electrical connections (battery cables, AC plugs) to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
  • Fuse Replacement: The inverter has internal fuses for protection. If a fuse blows due to an accident, it should be replaced by a qualified technician using the spare fuses provided or equivalent.
  • Storage: If storing the inverter for an extended period, disconnect it from the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.

8. Troubleshooting

The TATALIKEN inverter is equipped with several protection features. If the inverter stops working, check the following:

  • No Output Power:
    • Check if the inverter is switched 'ON'.
    • Verify battery connections are secure and correct.
    • Check the battery voltage. If it's too low (below 10V DC for 12V system or 20V DC for 24V system), the inverter will shut down. Recharge or replace the battery.
    • Check for blown internal fuses.
  • Overload Protection: If the total wattage of connected appliances exceeds the inverter's continuous output power, the inverter will shut off. Disconnect some appliances and restart the inverter.
  • Over Voltage Protection: If the input DC voltage exceeds 15V (for 12V system) or 30V (for 24V system), the inverter will shut down. Check your battery charging system.
  • Low Input Voltage Protection: If the input DC voltage drops below 10V (for 12V system) or 20V (for 24V system), the inverter will shut down. Recharge your battery.
  • Over Temperature Protection: If the inverter becomes too hot, it will shut off automatically. Allow it to cool down and ensure proper ventilation. Reduce the load if necessary.
  • Short Circuit Protection: If a short circuit is detected in the output, the inverter will shut off. Disconnect all appliances and check for any faulty wiring or appliances.

9. User Tips

  • Calculating Battery Capacity: To estimate how long your battery can power appliances, use the formula: Battery Voltage (V) * Battery Capacity (AH) * 0.8 = Usable Watt-Hours (WH). For example, a 12V 60AH battery can provide approximately 12 * 60 * 0.8 = 576W for one hour.
  • Load Management: Always consider the type of load. Resistive loads (like lights, heaters) draw consistent power, while inductive loads (with motors, like fridges, pumps) have a much higher starting surge. Ensure your inverter's continuous power rating can handle the surge of inductive loads.
  • Ventilation is Key: Proper airflow around the inverter is crucial for its longevity and performance, especially under heavy loads.
