4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Recording Modes
- Continuous Recording: The dash cam automatically starts recording when powered on.
- Loop Recording: The device continuously records, overwriting the oldest footage with the newest once the memory card is full. Important events are protected from being overwritten.

4.2 G-Sensor (Collision Sensor)
The built-in G-Sensor automatically detects sudden shakes or collisions. When triggered, it locks the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten by loop recording, ensuring critical event footage is saved.
4.3 Parking Monitoring
The D1Pro Dash Cam offers 24-hour parking monitoring with 5 frames per second (F/S) shrinkage video (time-lapse recording). This feature requires an optional 'buck line' (drop voltage line) to be connected to your vehicle's power system to provide continuous power when the engine is off, while also offering low voltage protection for your car battery.

4.4 Night Vision Enhancement
Equipped with an F1.55 large aperture lens and night vision enhancement technology, the D1Pro Dash Cam captures clearer footage in low-light conditions, reducing blur and improving detail in dark environments.

4.5 Wide Angle View
The 121° wide-angle lens provides extensive coverage, easily capturing three lanes of traffic to ensure comprehensive recording of events in the shooting area.

4.6 Voice Control
The dash cam supports voice commands for hands-free operation. Use the following commands:
- "Start recording"
- "Close recording"
- "I want to take pictures"
- "Video locking"
5. Maintenance
- SD Card Management: Regularly format your SD card (at least once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important footage before formatting.
- Cleaning the Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the camera lens. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could scratch the lens.
- Cleaning the Device: Wipe the exterior of the dash cam with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use excessive moisture or immerse the device in water.
- Firmware Updates: Check the Hikvision website or the 'Hik Dashcam' app periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware up-to-date can improve performance and add new features.
6. Troubleshooting
- Dash Cam not powering on:
- Ensure the car charger is properly connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's power outlet. Check the vehicle's power outlet for functionality.
- Recording issues (e.g., freezing, corrupted files):
- Format the SD card. If the issue persists, try a different Class 10 (or higher) SD card from a reputable brand. Ensure the SD card is not full.
- Wi-Fi connection problems:
- Ensure the dash cam's Wi-Fi is enabled. Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone. Make sure you are within range of the dash cam's Wi-Fi signal.
- Parking monitoring not working:
- Verify that an optional buck line (hardwire kit) is correctly installed and connected to provide continuous power to the dash cam when the vehicle is off.
- Voice commands not recognized:
- Speak clearly and directly towards the dash cam. Ensure there is minimal background noise. Check the app settings to confirm voice control is enabled.
