Setup Guide

1. Unfolding the Tripod/Extending the Selfie Stick

  1. Hold the handle firmly.
  2. To use as a tripod, gently pull the bottom part of the handle downwards to deploy the three legs. Ensure they are fully spread for maximum stability.
  3. To extend the pole, pull the top section upwards. Each section will lock into place. Extend to your desired length.

2. Attaching Your Smartphone

For Magnetic Version:

  1. Ensure your smartphone has a magnetic case or a magnetic ring attached to its back.
  2. Align your phone with the magnetic mount on the selfie stick/tripod. The powerful N52 magnets will securely hold your device.
  3. The back side of the magnetic mount can be used to attach additional accessories.

For Phone Clamp Version:

  1. Locate the hidden phone clamp at the top of the stick.
  2. Pull the top jaw of the clamp upwards to open it.
  3. Carefully place your smartphone into the clamp, ensuring it is centered and securely held. The clamp supports phones with a width between 56mm and 92mm.

3. Pairing the Wireless Remote Control

  1. The remote control is embedded in the handle. Gently slide it out.
  2. Press and hold the button on the remote control until the indicator light starts blinking, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  3. On your smartphone, go to Bluetooth settings and search for "Ulanzi SK27" or a similar device name.
  4. Select the device to pair. The indicator light on the remote will stop blinking and remain solid (or turn off) once successfully paired.

Operating Instructions

1. Adjusting Length and Angle

  • Length Adjustment: Extend or retract the 8-section pole to achieve your desired height for selfie shots or tripod use.
  • Angle Adjustment: The phone mount features 360° rotation and 200° tilt. Loosen the adjustment knob (if present) or simply rotate/tilt the mount to switch between horizontal and vertical orientations or find the perfect shooting angle.

2. Using the Wireless Remote Control

  • Once paired, simply press the button on the remote control to trigger your smartphone's camera shutter.
  • The remote has a wireless range of up to 10 meters, ideal for group photos or hands-free shooting.

3. Using the Cold Shoe Mount (Phone Clamp Version Only)

  • The Phone Clamp Version features a built-in cold shoe mount on the side of the phone clamp.
  • This allows for easy attachment of external accessories such as LED fill lights or microphones to enhance your content creation.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the selfie stick tripod with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: When not in use, retract the pole and fold the tripod legs. Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Remote Control Battery: If the remote control stops responding, the battery may need replacement. Refer to the remote's compartment for battery type (typically a coin cell battery).
