5. Setup Guide

5.1. Charging the Device

  1. Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the walkie-talkie's charging port.
  2. Plug the other end of the cable into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.

5.2. Powering On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the power button (location may vary slightly between models) until the screen lights up.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button again until the screen shuts down.

5.3. Initial Connection (Pairing)

The walkie-talkies are designed for automatic one-to-one self-connection upon startup. This means they should connect to each other automatically when both are powered on and within range. For basic intercom, no Wi-Fi or complex setup is required.

Important Note: These walkie-talkies are designed to be used as a pair for one-to-one communication. Only a pair can be used for direct intercom.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Basic Voice Communication

  1. Ensure both walkie-talkies are powered on and connected.
  2. Press and hold the 'Talk' button (usually on the side) to speak.
  3. Release the 'Talk' button to listen.

6.2. Video Call (JK300 only)

The JK300 model supports real-time video calls. Refer to the on-screen interface for initiating and managing video calls. This feature allows for face-to-face communication.

6.3. Voice Change Function

To activate the funny voice change feature:

  1. Long press the 'M' button (Mode button) on the walkie-talkie.
  2. Cycle through the available voice modes: Original, Child, Robot, and Alien.

6.6. Using the Front Camera & Photo Features (JK300 only)

The JK300 model features a front camera for taking photos and selfies. Explore the camera menu to:

6.7. Attaching the Anti-Loss Lanyard

Attach the provided anti-loss lanyard to the designated loop on the walkie-talkie. This allows children to wear the device around their neck, preventing loss during active play.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

Verify that both walkie-talkies are powered on and within the effective communication range (100m indoors, 400m outdoors). Ensure there are no major obstructions between the devices. Remember, only a pair can be used for direct intercom.
Poor sound or video quality:
Move closer to the other device. Ensure there are no strong electromagnetic interferences nearby. For video calls, ensure adequate lighting.
Buttons are unresponsive:
Try restarting the device by powering it off and then on again. If the issue persists, ensure the battery is charged.
