3. Setup and Installation

Before installation, ensure your vehicle's power is off. Professional installation is recommended.

  1. Mount the Camera: Remove your existing license plate. Position the new license plate frame with the integrated camera over the license plate and secure it to your vehicle using appropriate screws. Ensure the camera lens is unobstructed.
  2. Connect Camera Power: Connect the red wire (positive) of the camera's power cable to your vehicle's reverse light positive wire. Connect the black wire (negative) to a suitable ground point on the vehicle chassis. This ensures the camera powers on automatically when the reverse gear is engaged.
  3. Connect Camera to Wireless Transmitter: Plug the camera's yellow RCA video output into the yellow RCA input of the 2.4G wireless video transmitter. Connect the camera's DC power input to the power output of the wireless transmitter.
  4. Install Wireless Receiver: Locate a suitable position near your car's display unit (e.g., car DVD, monitor).
  5. Connect Wireless Receiver to Display: Plug the yellow RCA video output of the 2.4G wireless video receiver into the video input of your car's display unit.
  6. Connect Receiver Power: Connect the red wire (positive) of the receiver's power cable to a 12V accessory power source (e.g., ACC power, or the same reverse light positive as the camera for synchronized activation). Connect the black wire (negative) to a suitable ground point.
  7. Test the System: Turn on your vehicle and engage reverse gear. The image from the camera should appear on your display unit. Adjust the camera angle if necessary.

  1. Activation: When the vehicle's ignition is on and the reverse gear is engaged, the camera will automatically power on and transmit video to your connected display unit.
  2. Display: The display unit will show the live video feed from the rear camera. Parking assist lines will be overlaid on the image to help guide you.
  3. Night Vision: In low-light conditions, the camera's IR night vision will automatically activate, providing a clear image even in the dark.
  4. Deactivation: When the reverse gear is disengaged, the camera will power off, and your display unit will return to its previous function.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Lens: Regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, damp cloth to ensure a clear view. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the lens.
  • Checking Connections: Periodically inspect all cable connections for tightness and corrosion, especially after driving through harsh weather conditions.
  • Waterproof Design: While the camera is waterproof (IP66-IP67), avoid directing high-pressure water jets directly at the camera or its connections during car washes.
  • General Care: Ensure the license plate frame is securely mounted and not loose, which could affect camera stability.
