- Accumulation Mode: Combines the charge from two partially charged batteries into one, aiming to fully charge one battery. This is useful to get one full battery from two partially depleted ones.
- Even Out Mode: Equalizes the State of Charge (SOC) across the batteries, transferring energy from a higher SOC battery to a lower one. This helps extend battery lifespan for storage.
- Settings Mode: Allows customization of various device parameters.

5.1 Charging Batteries (Charger Mode)
Connect the USB-C port of the charging case to a power source (e.g., a 30W PD charger) using a compatible USB-C cable. The screen will display charging progress and battery parameters.
The dynamic power distribution algorithm re-evaluates power adjustment 180 times per hour to ensure the fastest charging speed.

5.2 Using as a Power Bank (Power Bank Mode)
Connect your mobile device to the USB-C port of the charging case. The case will draw power from the inserted Insta360 X4 Air batteries to charge your device.
5.3 Customizing Settings (Settings Mode)
The device offers over 12 customizable parameters. Navigate through the settings menu using the physical button on the case.
Firmware V3.01 Settings include:
- Exit Settings
- Save
- Begginer Assist (Off/On)
- Buzzer Control (Off/On)
- LCD Idle Timer (e.g., 20s)
- Brightness Nrm (e.g., 70%)
- Brightness Idle (e.g., 20%)
- Auto Off Timer (e.g., 30s)
- CHG A-Off Tmr (e.g., 15s)
- ACC Chrg Pwr (e.g., 8W)
- CHG Term SOC (e.g., 95%)
- PBK Out Volt (e.g., 5.00V)
- PBK Term SOC (e.g., 10%)
- EVO Chrg Pwr (e.g., 8W)

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
6.2 Storage
When not in use, store the charging case in a cool, dry place. The integrated microSD card slots are designed for low discharge storage of batteries, ensuring worry-free storage for extended periods.
The magnetic snap cover ensures that batteries and SD cards remain securely in place during storage or transport.
7. Troubleshooting
- Display not turning on: Ensure batteries are properly inserted, or press the physical button.
- Batteries not charging: Check the USB-C cable and power adapter connection. Ensure the power source provides sufficient wattage (e.g., 27W Max input). Verify the temperature is within the normal charging range (10-45°C).
- Inaccurate charge level readings: This can occur if batteries are repeatedly undercharged. Ensure batteries are fully charged periodically to recalibrate their fuel gauge.
- Device not charging mobile devices: Ensure the charging case is in Power Bank Mode and has sufficient battery charge from the inserted Insta360 X4 Air batteries.

*The above data was measured by the SYMIK lab using a 30W PD charger, brand new original batteries, and the charging case set to 12W/channel charging power, at room temperature (both the battery and charging case were at 15°C temperature of 25 degrees Celsius at the start of charging); the data represents the time to fully charge two batteries. Charging speed will be slower in high/low temperatures, the displayed data is an average of laboratory tests, and your actual charge time may vary.
8.1 Temperature Zoning and Charging Strategy
The device monitors battery temperature 600 times per hour and complies with IEC-62368 standards for charging safety. The screen displays real-time battery temperature.
| Temperature Range | Charging Current | Safety Logic |
|---|---|---|
| Cold (<0°C) | Do not charge | Low-temperature electrolyte solidification can easily cause short circuits. |
| Cool (0-10°C) | Reduce current (e.g., 30%) | Reduce battery wear and prevent lithium plating. |
| Normal (10-45°C) | Maximum current | Optimal charging range for highest efficiency. |
| Warm (45-60°C) | Reduce current (e.g., 80%-20%) | High-temperature lithium ions are active and prone to bulging. |
| Hot (>60°C) | Do not charge | High-temperature electrolyte decomposition poses a high risk of explosion. |

8.2 Charging Accuracy
The charger is equipped with 2 high-precision charging chips by Texas Instruments, achieving ±8mV charging voltage accuracy. This precision is crucial for battery life, safety, and user experience.
- Too high voltage: Can overcharge the battery, impacting lifespan and posing safety risks.
- Too low voltage: Prevents full charge and can cause fuel gauge miscalibration.

9. User Tips
- For optimal charging speed, use a 30W PD charger.
- Regularly check the LCD screen for real-time battery status and temperature to ensure safe operation.
- Utilize the Accumulation Mode to consolidate charge from multiple partially used batteries, ensuring you always have a fully charged battery ready.
- Use Even Out Mode for long-term storage to maintain battery health and extend lifespan.
- Take advantage of the customizable settings to tailor the device's behavior to your specific needs.
