Cleaning the Trackball
Over time, dust and debris can accumulate around the trackball, affecting its smooth operation. To clean:
- Turn off the mouse.
- Gently push the trackball from the bottom opening to remove it.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol to clean the trackball and the inside of the trackball cavity.
- Ensure all components are completely dry before reinserting the trackball.
- Reinsert the trackball and turn on the mouse.
General Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the mouse with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Troubleshooting
- Mouse not responding:
- Ensure the mouse is turned on and fully charged.
- For 2.4GHz connection, verify the USB nano receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port and the switch is set to '2.4G'.
- For Bluetooth connection, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the mouse is paired. Try re-pairing if necessary.
- Try connecting to a different USB port or device to rule out port/device issues.
- Cursor movement is erratic or sticky:
- Clean the trackball and its cavity as described in the Maintenance section.
- Ensure the mouse is on a stable, flat surface.
- DPI adjustment not working:
- Press the DPI button firmly. If it still doesn't change, try restarting the mouse.
- Charging issues:
- Ensure the USB-C cable is properly connected to both the mouse and the power source.
- Try using a different USB port or charging cable.
User Tips
- Ergonomic Comfort: Take advantage of the ergonomic design by resting your hand naturally on the mouse. The trackball allows you to control the cursor with minimal wrist movement, which can be beneficial during long work sessions.
- Multi-Device Efficiency: Utilize the dual-mode connectivity to switch seamlessly between your computer, laptop, and tablet. This is particularly useful for users who work across multiple platforms.
- DPI Customization: Experiment with the different DPI settings to find the sensitivity that best suits your tasks. Lower DPI for precise work like graphic design, higher DPI for general browsing or gaming.
- Battery Management: To maximize battery life, remember to switch off the mouse when not in use, especially overnight or when traveling.
